"..." HE WISHED IT WERE THAT SIMPLE. Aeron took it upon himself to quit his lifestyle and look for a nine-to-fiver. It felt strange having to clock in every day. At least he could have a gun. "Nope." His voice stayed flat, unemotional. When James spoke again, he winced. That hit too close to home. The silence drew on as his eyes dipped to his hands. He was uncomfortable. "Actually. Yeah. I was... Jam — I was a hit man until recently." His words fumbled out awkwardly as he played with his fingers. "My father dragged me into the life and I stayed... I swear, being with you is not some ploy to get close to your family. I really like you... I even quit and got a high-end security job... because I don't want to lose you."

"Don't laugh." Aeron blushed slightly. "Pasta and meatballs with garlic bread. Like my mom used to make. I know it sounds cheesy." His cheeks reddened slightly, but it didn't escape him that she was also doing the same. "No worse than watching an old eighties movie."

AERON NEVER LOOKED LIKE MUCH. The blood that ran through his veins separated him from other humans. Only through glimpses of his past selves did he begin to understand what he was. He was a being unlike any other. Reborn time again, he was doomed to repeat the same patterns until the galaxy died and with it the last of humanity. This separated him from most. Never mind the powers he figured out he had. Ones that gave him an advantage in his line of work. "I'm pretty confident I am." He smirked and shook his head. "Looks are deceivin'. You shouldn't judge a book by its cover."

BEING ABLE TO READ PEOPLE WAS A PART OF HIS WORK, OR WAS. Easily, he could tell Obi-Wan was nervous. His eyes stayed in front of him as he pushed past him and dug through the dresser. Finding the item of his desire, he turned to face him. It was hard not to smile or wear a smirk. Whenever Aeron was up to no good, he smiled, and it was a dead giveaway.

Dropping to a bended knee, he held his breath. What if he said no after this? That would be silly, wouldn't it? "I think you know the answer. Yeah, I'll put up with you." Nothing was ever simple with him. He knew he was a pain in the ass. Obi-Wan just happened to match his amount of crazy. "Guess we're engaged, huh?"

You experience the world in terms of control. Other people in your life always seem to be more powerful than you. You feel that you must please them. Sacrifice yourself and submit to them. You are passive. A sculpture being shaped by others. Life happens to you. When your needs are constantly frustrated, anger is inevitable. At some level, you know you feel used or controlled. But you feel your needs do not count. It is hard for you to connect with what you really want or prefer in a situation. You feel overwhelmed and confused. It is easier for you to do what others want. You rationalize your tendency to please others. You tell yourself that it doesn’t really matter. It is rare for you to express your anger directly. It is far more common for you to take it out in a disguised fashion. You procrastinate, show up late, or neglect legitimate expectations that people have for you. It is difficult for others to know whether you are irritated or simply weak. Many conclude that since you act unstably, you are in need of more control and direction from them. In this way, you perpetuate your pattern of putting others in roles where they feel they must control you.

ANAKIN LINGERED NEAR HIS WORKSTATION. His back leaned against the bench, and with it, his arms crossed. By no means was he dense enough to be vulnerable. Weapon or not, he wasn't trusting just anyone. This meant the girl, too. There was an air of suspicion; his head lifted. "I suspected as much." The problem was proof.

Palpatine seemed to have his bantas in a row. All his i's were dotted. Nothing surprised him anymore. His hand reached out steadily. Grasping the saber, he glanced it over. The work, markings all screamed him. Daring himself, his thumb lingered over the button. With a press, the blade came to life. Crimson light bounced back from the blade. The hum was even familiar. It was like he had seen it before. Maybe in a dream.

Blue eyes kept glued to the beam. After a long moment, he turned it off. This whole situation left a grim taste in his mouth. "I have no plans on listening to Palpatine's deceit. In fact, I've been working with the Senator of Naboo to convince the Senate. She plans on bringing a vote of no confidence this time tomorrow. I'll be beside her."

Padme was more to him than just a senator. She was now his wife after a few years of silent courting.

HIS MIND TURNED. All these years, he thought his child had never survived. She was supposed to be gone when Padme died. The cover-up wasn't brought to his attention. Years passed with him being unaware. Bail finally came to him recently. After nineteen years had passed, Organa drew him out of his pained exile. Anakin fell to his knees in agony. Why? Why did the Force treat him so? Was this his punishment for being unable to save his wife?

His storm-ridden eyes gazed over the young teen. She was strong. More assertive than most. "I wish I were." The elder Jedi confessed. "I wasn't told until recently. I thought... I thought you died with your mother."

this has hit home for me tonight and was brought up in a way that hurt me. nothing anyone did to me here. writing whole novels with ai or replies takes away from the humanity. it takes work from real people and it takes the person completely out of the work. it discredits those who work hard to write fanfics, novels, short stories and more. i feel strongly against this as i am going to school for writing and see first hand how it affects students. never mind writers in general.
