ANAKIN RAISED A BROW. His injuries never kept him down for long. The longest he was knocked out cold was two days. It also depended on the severity. Stab wounds took longer to heal. He still bounced back each time. "It's not that bad." Shrugging it off, he waved the bacta stim in his hand. Maybe he was in more pain than he let on. "Master, what good am I? I can not stay holed up in the med tent."
He craved action. Needed it. It kept his mind busy. Before he left, he did reach out for help. He asked for Grandmaster's guidance on letting go of his past. With his assistance, he was learning ways to keep his anger in check. Skywalker felt more level than years before. His mind was getting clearer with every lecture. "I'm not a padawan anymore." He reminded him of this often. "I can handle myself. You don't need to worry so much."

HE DIDN'T BOTHER TO GET HER A SMART REPLY, even though it was sitting there on his tongue dying to come out. Why did she have to be soft with him, that just made him regret his choices as much as he knew at the time they made the best one. He had been too young to understand what a relationship like what he implied meant. Looking her in the eyes, he internally was debating himself. Maybe it was because of how close she was? He didn't know, really. All he did know was that his feelings, as much as he tried to ignore them, were turning a full circle. He still loved Padme. It was no longer the obsession for him that was driving him to admit to things, but a place of grounded maturity. "I know. Obi Wan tells me constantly. Why do you think I was away for so long. I get lost in my work." She had to understand that reasoning. He had noticed the same of her too. "You can't tell me that doesn't happen with your dealings with the senate."
The little space between him had made him blurt out the confession faster than he could think. Seeing how she stood up to put space between them, he was tempted to close that space by rising. He stayed seated for now. Hiss brows creased when she handed him the towel. "Why not? Did your feelings die like that?" He let the cloth go as he watched her. She needed space, obviously. "We made the decision, from what I remember. You had said countless times it would have destroyed us then. I'm not too sure now that will be the case."

HIS JEDI ROBES BUSTLED BEHIND HIM. Without the council's support, he found himself at the bank, aware that his resources were limited without the backing of the Order. This issue was too personal for him to ignore. Once, he had been a boy on the isolated desert planet of Tatooine. A place plagued by crime where injustice occurred daily. This infuriated him so much, he found himself shaking.
One of his few childhood friends had gone missing, and his mother, old and frail, had implored him for help. Find him, she pleaded. Despite his better judgment, he made her a promise. To be a Jedi meant serving others, and he had stated this intention during the council meeting. But when they questioned, "Too close are you to the issue?" Issue? Like, his friend wasn't a person at all! The nerve!
Climbing the steps to the office, he steeled himself. He had only one contact who might provide funding for this endeavor. Pushing the door open, he approached the desk and said, "Brienne Guyot, please."

"I'd die without your love."
— Shi’al
ANAKIN STOOD TO HIS FEET WHEN SHI'AL CAME TO THE PATIO. It was late and he thought she was sleeping. He just needed some air. After his last meeting with Palpatine, he had reported back to Master Windu. He thought the only way to get him out of power was to stage a coup and he wanted him there. Breathing out, he knew that everything was coming to head. This could end badly. "Nothing is going to happen to me. I promise."

HE DIDN'T KNOW HOW MUCH MORE he could tolerate Obi-Wan's condescending nature. It was evident in the tightness of his jaw. Everything in him wanted to scream. He was a Jedi Knight, not a Padawan. Anakin yearned to be recognized as an equal, not just a learner anymore.
"Master, in my defense, I got here first," he argued, though he didn't find it to be a strong argument. As he reviewed the details of the next mission, he focused on one of the droid factories. "There. If we take out the main building and warn any civilians inside, we can eliminate the systems controlling of the battle droids." He was determined to avoid civilian casualties.
His eyes glanced toward Kenobi, and he decided it was better to keep quiet than to offend him any further. "Unless you have any better ideas."

ANAKIN HAD SAID GETTING MARRIED SO SOON was not a decision he could make quite yet. He still fought what he felt for the senator. Did he love her? He knew the answer was clear to him. Maybe she was right about living in a lie. Conflicted about the situation, he looked down at the cybernetic. At times, he thought his forearm was hurting, but he quickly reminded himself it was gone. Glancing back up at Padme, pain reflected in his eyes as he nodded. "Alright. I'll let Obi Wan know in the morning." It was unusual for him to be so quiet, but the fight with Dooku still ran in his mind vividly. He failed... again.

"WE'D BETTER GET OUT OF HERE." Days had passed since Anakin was made a Jedi Knight alongside his best friend. Over the years, they had both grown into overachievers in their class. However, Anakin's feelings began to change. Rey offered him solace and routine—a comfort he never thought he would find amid a war. Instead of just friendship, he found himself grappling with the idea of something more. Was it love? He couldn’t be sure. Oh, this was a mess. He kept his feelings to himself for fear of sabotaging their friendship. The fear of loss still drove him, though not as intensely as before. Grandmaster Yoda took it upon himself to help him navigate these emotions. Through Yoda, he learned that life was meant to be celebrated. Still, the thought of losing Rey was unbearable.
If attachments were forbidden, then why allow apprenticeships?
Now was not the time for his wandering thoughts. The structure around them was crumbling. They had completed their task, but he feared Rey was injured due to her unresponsiveness.

THIS ASSIGNMENT WAS NOT HIS IDEA. The council seemed to have other plans when they put Skywalker as Padmé Amidala's protector again. It seemed the Separatists were still trying to take her life and like before hired assassins. Anakin was in the elevator, wondering what he was going to say to the Senator, even if she would speak to him at all. He was now twenty-two and smarter, more grown than his nineteen years of age. The Jedi had seen the hardships of the people and had witnessed many horrors while campaigning as a solider for the Grand Republic's Army. The beep pulled him out of his thoughts as he exited and came into the familiar entrance of his past beloveds apartments. C3PO greeted him, all he did was put a hand on the gold droids shoulder silently before going into the sitting room, where one of her handmaidens went to fetch her. He couldn't find the means to sit to wait. So he stood and only turned when he heard her voice. Was she displeased? Probably.
"Senator Amidala." He bowed out of respect.

ANAKIN HAD SLEPT SILENTLY IN HIS TENT before he was awakened by hands grabbing him and dragging him away from the camp. He was knocked out before he could get to his saber. When he did awake, he did so in a cell with what looked like other slaves. Blinking, he put his hand on his temple. That was until he heard the screams. Using the Force, he made the makeshift door to the cage flew off and let the other prisoners escape. He didn't have a weapon nor did he try to gain one. The screams quieted until it was nothing. Eerily quiet, he came into a clearing where there were bodies all around and a familiar face standing in the middle of the wreckage. Skywalker never been happier and relieved to see his master, Obi Wan Kenobi standing there. "About time you showed up, and here I thought I was going to have to pull a miracle."

THE SMILE MADE HIS HEART LEPT, even though no smile graced his lips yet. The war had taken alot out of Anakin, and he was finding less reasons to smile back. Every now and then, Obi Wan tried and Anakin had tried back to no avail. Padme being happy made him content at least. Bowing his head, he stared at the datapad in his hands. Since he said he was on the Delegation of 2000's side, he had been working with Amidala to amend some of their demands. He hoped it would benefit not only the senate but the Jedi Order also. As a Jedi knight and the youngest to sit on the council, he had come to her in hopes of ending this war.
"I'm trying Honestly, you've been running circles around me." He had heard the teasing and finally cracked a smile. Laughing slightly at himself, Ani knew some of the political words. Most seemed to fly over his head. The council wrote so differently when it came to procedure. "I should have paid more attention in the meeting. These... seem a bit over the top. Droids are so much easier to understand than the senate's files." His brows furrowed as he glanced over at her.

@spokewar : I think Master Yoda is on the edge of shunting the both of us from his lineage. He thinks we wander too close to the dark.
ANAKIN'S LIPS TURN INTO A FROWN. If Grandmaster Yoda was starting to see them as a threat, maybe it was time to leave. It crossed his mind more than once. The Jedi Order was furthering itself to it's true teachings and this entire war was cementing those values. Breathing out, he nodded solemnly. "I was aware this would happen." Putting his datapad to the side, a hand went on his face. "More and more I am tempted to leave and start my own order. One that would stand on the principles of the balance and listen to the Force itself."

DISTRACTED, HE WAS AMBUSHED AND TAKEN OFF GUARD. Anakin's hands were bound and his saber taken. The Jedi knight knew it was a matter of time before Obi Wan found him. Did he do this deliberately? Yes. He rarely got time alone with his former master. Skywalker desperately needed to open up to him. Having been troubled lately, he had exhibited in such ways only Kenobi would know. It was clues as to what was lingering in his mind.
So he let the drunkards take him and make them believe he was harmless. All for the sake of getting Obi Wan alone. Over the years, he had been blinded. Now more than ever he needed guidance. His master was the only one he could think of turning too. Sure, he could have done it differently than to get captured purposely. Anakin never did things conventionally. He was known take a less subtle route.
Glancing over at the master in the corner, he shifted uneasily. His head hung as if defeated. Internally he felt so. It wasn't like he could just burst through the doors and go gun ho on his captors, because it did cross his mind. Being alone with his mentor was what he needed more.
"No." It was all he could muster. His head finally lifted and leaned back. The back of his hair hit the wall behind him. Nothing could prepare the other for what he needed to confess. On Coruscant, he knew Palaptine had spies everywhere. He could not tell Obi Wan there if he wanted too. Here it was safe.
"I'm fine." It was a lie. Mentally, he wasn't. This whole thing was hard for him to process. Originally he thought he could trust the Chancellor and had with a great deal. If anything, he felt betrayed. "Because I am." His eyes flicked over to him again. A low drawn out sigh came from the general as he shifted once more. "There's something I need to tell you, Master. It's not going to be easy to listen too."

@bornofthedawn "I know I shouldn't want that."
PAIN ETCHED AROUND HIS FACE. Anakin had come to Aurora's apartment in hope of speaking. Maybe it was written across his face. She always could read him so well. As the wind whipped around his robes, he swallowed a lump that was forming in his throat. "I thought I could ignore my feelings, but I can not." He finally admitted. "Aurora..." His voice reflected how he felt in his heart. Torn and deep sadness. He had let go of her for so long, he didn't think she would return it. Years had passed since they last saw each other.

ANAKIN COULD SENSE THE COCKINESS raidiating off his former master. He made him smirk. Obi Wan could hide all he liked, he knew him better than anyone else. "You know me. I always make the most of it." Skywalker couldn't help but smile at Kenobi. "Didn't you say it isn't luck that defines us? It's the Force." As a padawan learner, he might have acted like he didn't hear his lessons. Now, he was taking them to heart. His eyes were opened because of his last meeting with Palpatine while on Coruscant.
He made sure his saber was ignited before glancing over his shoulder. "Shall we?"

"Once we reach the next town, we really should stock up on supplies. We're running out of pretty much everything." | from Padme
"THE HANDMAIDENS HAVE GONE TO GET SUPPLIES before we arrive at the lake house." Anakin had been awefully quiet on their trip to Naboo. It was years after they made the trip and for the exact same reason. It was ironic to him he would be in the same situation and faced with the feelings that never died for him. He didn't know if Amidala had understood his reasoning for focusing on being a Jedi than to move forward and get married. Maybe it was him that never forgave himself due to his abandonment issues he suffered with. ""We'll be there in a half an hour. Best to be comfortable." At least while he focused on flying them there.

starter for @lightcreators (Phil)
The Hero without Fear needed a break himself. So he headed to one of the clubs in the mid sector of Coruscant on a speeder from the temple he used when in between missions. Walking in with confidence only a few people muttered to themselves. No one dared to go against him here. Finding his way to the bar, he sat on the stool and ordered a drink. That was until he felt eyes on him. Looking over slowly, he saw a person staring. He tried to ignore it the best he could, but the other seemed intent on just looking. "What is it, hm? Never seen a Jedi on his downtime?"
