Hai :). I'm going to post some final touches/add-ons to the characters I've described thus far, as well as a bit more explanation for the world I've created. If you're reading this post and somehow don't have any idea who these characters are, I go over them here, here, and here.

Sunburst's favorite color is yellow and her favorite food is chocolate-chip cookie dough ice cream.

Devina's favorite color is dark blue and her favorite food is vindaloo.

Elliot's favorite color is white and his favorite food is salmon.

Felix's favorite color is dark green and his favorite food is Nanaimo bars.

Oliver's favorite color is light blue and his favorite food is Cape Cod potato chips.

Ruth's favorite color is red and her favorite food is steak.

Ms. Docherty's favorite color is lavender and her favorite food is mince and tatties. Going back on a previous post, Ms. Docherty's "mask" that shows expressions is more like a visor. It only covers her eyes when she's wearing it, so it's not really a mask.

Mr. Chapman's favorite color is dark blue and his favorite food is carnish pastries.

Mr. Karlsson's favorite color is black and his favorite food is Krov Stroganoff. Mr. Karlsson also has PTSD, but I'm not going to tell you what from...that'll be revealed in the story :).

And finally, Blix's favorite color is yellow and his favorite food is literally anything sweet. Blix also has ADHD.

Now, onto the world-building! The story takes places in the late 2030s, and technology is a lot more advanced compared to now. Robotics is highly complex, and there exist sentient AI. Prosthetics are extremely intricate and are an almost perfect copy of a regular limb. However, there are still a few drawbacks to prosthetics.

So yeah, think of the story as basically being the modern day, except technology is way more advanced!

That's all for now! I'll likely post the first bit of the story later this week. It'll introduce the characters Sunburst, Devina, and Elliot. More characters will be introduced as the story goes on! I won't post descriptions for the minor characters, since the list would get very long, very fast.

For those of you who want to know a bit about the story and some of its characters, you can start by reading this! I posted all of this on my main blog but will reblog and pin the post on this blog so everyone can have an idea of what my story is about. I’ll post more about the story as time goes on!

Hey all! I just thought of a brand-new story idea and thought I would share it here! The story idea is under the cut.

In this story, everyone has one specific ability related to their personality. The abilities can range from being fairly mundane to being on the verge of supernatural. Everyone receives their power at a different time. Some harness their ability soon after they're born, and for others it takes some years. The world is populated with humans...mostly.

The story takes place in a fictional town called Tumbleford located in Arizona. The town is very small and out in the middle of nowhere. The main character goes by the nickname Sunburst and has she/her pronouns. Near the beginning of the story, two people move into town, but they seem off, suspicious. Sunburst and her group of friends start investigating the newcomers, but aren't aware of something brewing in the town...Tumbleford holds a very dark secret, one it hides from the rest of the world, and the fate of everyone eventually rests on Sunburst, her friends, and the two newcomers who just moved in.

Some of the characters are inspired from Deltarune characters, and others are my own original creations. I'll post a bit more about this story idea throughout the next few days, including a brief overview of some characters as well as other ideas I think of. I just came up with this idea earlier today, so there are still some things I need to plan out. I'm thinking I might share this story on Tumblr, so if this sounds like an interesting idea to you, let me know! If enough people are interested, I'll create a third blog specifically for this story and its progression.

I want to add a few more bits of information to all of the characters I have posted about so far! I'll start with Sunburst and work my way down the list.

Sunburst's birthday is March 7th and her height is 5'3".

Devina's birthday is November 12th and her height is 5'3.5".

Elliot's birthday is February 25th and his height is 5'6".

Felix's birthday is April 3rd and his height is 5'3".

Oliver's birthday is December 29th and his height is 5'5.5".

Ruth's birthday is August 30th and her height is 5'6.6".

Ms. Docherty's birthday is July 17th and her height is 5'4.7". Ms. Docherty is also getting a nickname change! Her nickname is now "Cyber Lassie".

Mr. Chapman's birthday is April 19th and his height is 5'10".

Mr. Karlsson's birthday is October 27th and his height is 6'3".

And finally, Blix's birthday is August 19th and his height is 4'10".

Now for a bit more about the story itself! It's time for me to explain what the deal is with the world being MOSTLY inhabited by humans. Since I imagine most of you who follow this blog will be familiar with Deltarune, as that's the primary fandom my primary blog is a part of, you likely know what Darkners are. If you don't, that's fine! I'll slowly explain my non-human concept--they're called Shapers--throughout the story. For those of you who DO know what Darkners are, my non-human characters are going to be heavily based off of them. However, there are a few differences.

The first major difference is that the Shapers can shapeshift, hence their name. Shapers can appear as normal, everyday humans, while Darkners cannot (at least that we know of). The catch is that Shapers are not a perfect copy. They appear as a human at a first glance, but since Shapers are non-human at their core, they do not perfectly act like a human. Some Shapers are better actors than others, but all are imperfect. It's also a lot easier to tell if a child is a Shaper compared to an adult, as a child Shaper has less experience in its human form than an adult Shaper.

Another difference is that Shapers do NOT have one distinct ability while in their human form. Their true self, however, does. A Shaper can have several different abilities while in its true form. It depends on the species of Shaper--yes, there are multiple different species of Shapers. My story will be primarily focusing on one species in particular called "Cardades". Cardades are based off of a common deck of playing cards. Cardades are a mix of all four card suits, and are one of the most powerful species of Shaper. They have supernatural strength, incredible durability, are highly skilled in combat and weaponry, and some can even manipulate reality to an extent. However, Cardades and Shapers as a whole can be hurt. They can be killed. This leads into another thing...

When a Shaper sustains an injury in their true form, their injury is also brought over into their human form. For example, if a Shaper received a broken arm while in their true form, they would also have a broken arm in their human form. This also applies to scars and any injury not fully healed. And if a Shaper dies in their human form, their true form is revealed upon death.
