Hear me out, Chapter 7 Deltarune dinner with the family but its the horrible consequences of people shipping Asgore/Rudy, Dess/Asriel, Togore/Chester, Toriel/Carol, and Kris/Noelle.

Like the table is dead silent. Asgore just dropped off more flowers for Rudy. Toriel has not realized she has blue lipstick on her face. Kris just hung out with Susie and Noelle all day and is having the most confusing teen crush experience ever. Togore just straight up has Chesters jacket on. Asriel has a shadow crystal in his pocket.

None of them want to point out the obvious

You are amazing, Akanemnon. You know how you have stated that you don't think you are the kind of person who should be looked up to? Well, you are. You inspire me and so many others every day.

But that's not why I'm typing this.

I'm typing this because you are a huge part of the reason why I picked my pencil back up and started drawing again. I had lost confidence in my ability as an artist, thinking myself just a weird, over-imaginative kid who couldn't bring what was in their mind to life on a page.

Then, much later, I found Twin Runes and your blog. Not long after that, I started drawing again.

For reference, below is a drawing I made before I stopped drawing.

Next, some drawings I made after I started drawing again, but before I started following your blog. (It's concept art for a deltarune college AU that I scrapped)

Finally, some art that I made after following your blog. It's probably familiar to you.

I was only able to go from that beyblade concept to this redraw because I learned from you. Thank you, SO MUCH, for all the help and advice you have given over the years. You've taught me more in a month than what professional art teachers have taught me in a decade.

Shading? You taught me directly. Rendering? Learned from images you posted to teach another asker. Blending, shading with to a lighter color, and other details (such as blushes and hair highlights)? Learned from screwing around drawing my version of the DTIYS, trying to get as close as I could.

I'm still that same weird kid, but now, thanks to you, I can finally, finally, thanks to YOU, put the ideas in my head on that page.

Also, I admire how good of a writer you are (as someone who thinks of stories as their thing, I am in immense awe of your skill), and you seem to be a simply wonderful human being in general, so points for that.

TL;DR, you are the closest thing I have to a hero, Akane. And I don't think I'm alone in that.

The problem I have with music related questions is... that I don't really get invested too much in music.

I like music! But I don't get overly attached to bands, if that makes any sense? It's a problem I've had all my life. People would talk about their favorite bands and get like super hyped and stuff. Whenever I was asked what my favorite bands were, I would draw a blank. Now there are a few artists and bands I like, but I would never call them my favorite. There's just this... disconnect I have.

So because of that, I struggle HARD when people ask "What music does this character like?" or "What bands do they listen to?" I really don't know.

I feel these are some of the very few questions I really can't answer. Maybe someone who's more connected to music and understands these characters can give you a better answer than that.

But other than that, thank you so much! It makes me so incredibly happy to hear you tried your hands at art again because of my work. That is seriously something that means the world to me. And it breaks my heart whenever people are told to stop drawing. There is always a way to create and get better. Sometimes all you need is the right environment for it. And it looks like it did the trick for you! You've improved a lot and you should be proud of yourself for that. This was all you! And you will keep getting better going forward, I'm sure of it! So you don't have to view me as a hero. You're your own hero in that regard. I'm just doing my thing. Because I like seeing people be the best they can be.
