headcanon/theory that the crowns r literal parasites

I mightve stolen this from somewhere but its so embedded in my brain that I would not b able to tell you from where

but anyway basically I think the crowns like once they take hold of someone that they now HAVE to get devotion from the people around them or else the crown funnels all of the devotion out of them until theyre empty husks and they just die, similar to when you dont eat and your body sucks all the nutrients out if you. I think this would explain why you get a game over when the Lamb doesnt have any followers, and also why toww had vessels before the lamb despite the lamb being the only one prophesized, or why Shamura gave him the kits in the first place.
