reading and writing and so on

having a really hard time trying to get through my physical book i loaned from the library, there's a week left on it, i REALLY gotta lock in... it's such an interesting book too but nooo the brain is no good and won't sit down to read a book. luckily nothing at the food festival i went to today was so excellent that i have to go back tomorrow so i have time before my uncle's bday "party" (coffee.)

i feel like you can always tell when fir's gone to sleep and isn't watching the phillies game with me bc these text posts tend to get born exactly then more times than not... i still think the city connects are our best unis and like 70% of it is the dark pants. fucking love a baseball uniform with dark pants, makes everyone's ass look great. related; very funny of that person to wish an alternate universe upon me in which the phillies "lose 100 games every season" as if i'm not a san jose sharks fan like they would still be doing better than my hockey team lmao

i'm trying to get 52 weeks - Director's Cut into a shape where it'll come out october 29th for the two year anniversary of the original. there's only a handful more scenes i gotta write, altho i am looking to lock in for this to1u minifest and hopefully write MINIMUM three things. i'm gonna prompt exclusively baseball, i can't be wasting my five precious prompts on any hockey fucks or whatever. i don't know if i'm gonna limit myself like that for writing, hard to say what prompts are gonna be interesting to me. i hope many of them baseball tho :)

talked with my friend today and we didn't get into any kind of conclusion because we're really the same person, but we did wonder if people who don't view everything they make as art and a part of the process and part of the larger project in a way As Art have an easier time getting rid of their art? like is it easier to delete your old writings you're not proud of anymore or throw away old photographs from a time you've outgrown or so on if it's not... "that deep" to you? i must wonder.

once i'm done with my physical book i have the audiobook for Jane Austen's Bookshelf loaned because i'm looking to get that sweet sweet goodreads achievements especially since these fuckass summer challenges have several achievements only achievable for reading a novel and i read like 95% non-fiction bc i'm wildly picky about my fiction so those achievements are just out of my grasp... and turns out my current book (Vastatuuleen: Saamen kansan pakkosuomalaistamisesta trans. To Headwind: Forced Finnishization of the Sámi People) isn't on any of goodreads' lists who would've thought.

i've fully forgotten to take notes yet again of bits to gif in this baseball game. yes the phillies gif economy took a major hit when they stopped doing the water thing after every W but some of it is also me being bad at taking notes and then forgetting...

thanks for attending once again and i am once again asking poetry recs, i wrote down what i got last time but as i continue to want to learn how to write poetry in english, i think reading a lot of poetry in english is going to be helpful :) thank you.

So which ones would you say are the non mental illness stats then?

no but actually idk like obv all counting stats are non-mental illness stats but really for hitting avg and ops are the only real stats and for pitching era and MAYBE whip. now i understand none of that is baserunning or fielding stats but outside of things that are being counted (like steals or errors or double plays turned etc) i don't care about it.

i think mostly if i can't figure out fairly easily how we landed on the number we're now looking at, it's nonsense to me.
