Guys! It’s been so long since I last posted and for that I am sorry! I’ve been trying to get ready for school, recently switched up my hours at my job, constantly trying to fit workouts in, and just living life.
To end the summer, I went on a short vacation with my coworkers and it was definitely needed. I just needed a break from the workplace and life to just chill for a couple of days with no worries. I honestly cannot wait until we can get together and do it again. They’re a great group of girls and I’m very fortunate to have them as friends in my life.
Two weeks ago, I had my first class for grad school and I have to say that I was freaking out. I read both of my syllabi for my classes and it really seemed like a lot. The grading system that was listed on the syllabus for both classes also had me freaking out. I have absolutely no room for error, these people are not here to play games. However, my first class did go really well. I had my second class this past Saturday and it definitely will be interesting. I will be sure to keep you all updated on my experiences with grad school!
On a final note, I just want to let you all know that I’m at 104lbs. I started this fitness journey back in May and I have come quite far. I started out at 92lbs and in a span of 4 months I’ve gained just over 10lbs. I’ve upped my calorie and protein intake and I’ve added back chicken into my diet to help get that extra protein in. When I started working out, I only did body weight exercises and used 10lb weights. I recently started to get into actually lifting and now I’m up to 25lbs which I started using this past month. By this time next month I’m hoping to be lifting or starting to lift 50lbs. I’m taking it slow and easing my way into it because it’s never something that I’ve taken seriously. Once I get more comfortable, I plan to get more serious and I’ll be sure to keep you guys updated!
Thanks for reading. I’m still hoping as time goes on I’ll have more time to make posts.

Hey guys! I know it’s been quite some time since I’ve posted last so I’m gonna catch you guys up a little bit.
I’m 23 now. My birthday was on the 11th of this month. It was pretty decent but low key. I feel like after you turn 21 birthdays don’t really matter anymore. They’re just another day. However, I will say that I’m super stoked about one of my presents that my grandma bought me!
As most of you know I’m about to go through a huge transition in life and start grad school in like 3 weeks. I’m both excited and scared seeing as how I’m the first one in my family to attend grad school I have no idea what to expect. I’ve been preparing and trying to take the necessary steps to feel ready however I don’t think I’ll fully be prepared until I’m there. Although I am really excited to start this journey and bring you guys along with me.
I’ve also been trying my best to spend time with my family. As you guys know, I’ve posted about my grandpop before and about his Parkinson’s disease. Recently, he hasn’t been doing the greatest so we’re trying to spend time with him before that next step is taken and he enters a nursing home. It’s hard though because it is a tough decision for my grandma to make however, it’s her decision. She knows what’s best for her and him and that’s something that I will stand behind 100%.
Stay tuned , I have some things in the works that I want to post soon!

Today’s workout was hard! Something is definitely going on with the back of my thighs, i don’t know if I pinched a nerve in my back and the pain is radiating down or what but it definitely was a struggle to sleep last night and work out this morning. However, I still got it done. I’m just hoping whatever this is passes before I work for seven days straight because even walking hurts šŸ˜‚. Wish me luck and get out there and be awesome.

One thing I enjoy about getting into working out and yoga is seeing and feeling the progress I’ve made. This week makes one month getting back into everything and being able to even bend over like this is huge progress for me.
A month ago I never would have been able to even have my hands touch the floor and the bend in my knees was waaay worse. Now the bend isn’t as severe and my hands touch the floor.
I’m exciting to see where I’ll be next month. The goal: no rounded back and straight knees! Maybe even have my forehead touch my knees. Practice makes perfect and change happens over time it just takes patience.

It’s moments like these when everything tends to get hard. By everything I mean sticking to my routine. Not working out during my two week vacation definitely took a toll on me. My body was sore for sure and when I went on my run I stopped twice and added a minute to my running time. It sucks to see your progress go backwards. However, seeing it go backwards also inspires me to keep pushing forward, to keep working harder to get where I was and surpass that progress. While I haven’t worked out at all this week, I can say that I’m super excited to get back to everything on Monday. It’s going to be tough but definitely worth it.
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads/moms out there who are doing everything right. Father’s Day is a tough one for me because my mom is basically my father. Since about the age of 4/5, she’s been taking care of me, raised me and my two brothers on her own. I’m not going to go into details as to why but those closest to me know exactly why. I’m proud of the woman that my mom raised me to be and I’m proud of my mom for putting in all the hard work and effort she does on the daily to support me through life and my daily decisions. So to all the single dads out there, who are both mommy and daddy this is a shout out to you. To all the dads who work hard to be present and support their kids, this is a shout out to you. To the single mothers who are both mom and dad, this is a shout out to you. Keep doing what you’re doing because you’re an inspiration.
Also, not sure what the hell is up with my paint video. Tumblr keeps telling me there’s another video that’s trying to upload and I have no idea what it could be. So I may just end up doing a live video at some point on here and on my Instagram. However, I’ve never done that before so we’ll see lol.

My most recent art adventure. This technique is called Fluid Art or Acrylic Pouring. I’m so terrible with a brush but love paint so this is the only way I can use it without a disaster happening. I plan to do a video showing how I do this because it’s just too pretty not too.

Have you heard of / tried / enjoy transcendental meditation? (TM)
I’m not sure if I tried it. However, in college, I participated in a yoga group that would do 10 minutes + of meditation and I think that it was along similar lines. There has only been one time where I’ve reached the transcendental state, I haven’t been able to repeat the process with the guided meditations that I’ve followed.

Guys! I’m back with the land of the living (virtually). For the past two weeks I have been in Long Neck, DE. I’ve been enjoying the bay, the ocean, and lots and lots of seafood. However, the beach house that I was residing in had hardly any WiFi (I know I have LTE but def not paying for overages), and we only had 4 tv channels.
Wednesday was literally the scariest day that my family and I has ever experienced. We took my mom’s bf’s scarab on the ocean and the waves were literally nuts I’m surprised I’m not swimming with the fishes and the boat splintered all over the atlantic.
Other than that and developing a skin rash, it was super relaxing. If you find yourself in the Rehoboth area, make some time and visit the Paradise Grill/Pub. It’s a little pricey but it’s a great environment. Take some time and enjoy yourself.
Now it’s back to reality and the grind šŸ’ŖšŸ½.

Happy Monday Motivation ! So last week I completed a full week of workouts and I feel great. My legs are still a little bit sore from two days ago but I think I just need to work on my form (putting too much weight on my toes).
Getting back into everything was kind of hard I won’t lie. I needed to take some breaks especially during cardio (I AM OUT OF SHAPE). However, taking it slow and rebuilding everything you once had is worth the wait.
Working out has many health benefits but I also think that there’s benefits that come from the mind as well. It’s a time for you to think or if you add yoga in, to not think at all. I prefer to do both because as you guys know, planning is everything and that’s mainly what I do. However, I also like to relax and that’s what yoga allows me to do.
I’m glad that I’ve finally gotten the motivation to start getting into working out again and I’m glad that you guys are here with me to watch my progress and maybe find the motivation for yourself to do something that you’ve wanted to do for a while.
ALSO, I know I’m super late but I will be posting game clips probably tomorrow morning or tomorrow night. Most likely tomorrow night. Last week I didn’t have enough and now I had too much editing to do.

You guys know I function best with schedules and having a routine. Therefore, I decided to share my workout schedule with you guys. Yes, I’m only doing one cardio day because I run around damn near everyday at work šŸ¤·šŸ¾ā€ā™€ļø. I already told you guys how I’ll be working on my legs in my last post. Thus, during my arms/core days I will be doing 50 minutes of yoga with 10 minutes of Savasana. Yoga really targets both of those body parts but it also works the legs, so for those positions I will not be holding them as long as I normally would on leg day. Rest up to give your muscles a break and to allow them to grow.

This morning I finally got the motivation to start getting back into yoga and working out. I always am so slow to start in the mornings because I am not a morning person. I love to sleep in really late but I have wanted to get back in to working out for a while.
The first part of my workout, I did 20 minutes of yoga. I love doing yoga because it really works your whole body. It makes me feel so calm as well. Also, it really helps you stretch those muscles out. My hips were so tight I was hurting during my childs pose lol. But as mentioned before, I used my DownDog app to complete my yoga session.
The second part of my workout focused on my legs and glutes. Squats are one of my all time favorite things to do when I work out and I love a good leg day because I never fail to feel the burn. I worked on my legs for 30 minutes. One position I got is from Jen Selter but the rest are from past workouts and from some of my favorite workout challenges.
25 squat pulses (w/ or without weights, I used my 10lb kettlebell)
25 sumo squats (w/ 10lb kettlebell)
25 curtsy squats
2x25 squat leg lifts
2x25 fire hydrants
Can’t wait to keep on going with this journey and have you guys with me along the way.
