Finished the extended version of The Lord of the Rings: the Fellowship of the Ring.
Thoughts:
Merry and Pippin should not have been invited. At least 4 encounters with enemies were their fault for doing stupid things.
The story was kind of boring and I was very confused for parts.
Fight scene at the end was amazing.
Sam and Frodo clearly have a romantic intimate bond while Merry and Pippin have a platonic/brotherhood intimate bond.
I am unsure of what was cut for the theatrical release as it all seemed important even if the pacing seemed slow at times.

Today’s album was Led Zeppelin IV.
I enjoyed the instrumentation and some of the vocals. It definitely feels iconic and I wonder what it would have been like to hear it when it first came out in 1971. I will be looking into more of Led Zeppelin’s music.
