🪶: so, i'm gonna go with something someone had done for me. and it was tim, before we were even dating. it might sound stupid, but he waited in the parking lot for me for over two hours while i was questioned by IA over a shooting that'd happened that day, and when i came out he just asked if i was ready to go home. he drove me to his house, where he made me my favorite pasta, and had wine waiting for me. it was simple, but it made everything better in that difficult time.

💔 : that i can be both relentless and soft, and that neither cancels out the other. angela doesn’t pull punches. she’ll call me out, push me harder, make me face the things i'd rather not. but she’s also the first one to remind me that i don’t have to carry everything. from her, i learned that strength isn’t just the ability to take the hit, it’s knowing when to let someone stand beside you and take part of it for you. she made me realize i'd been living like I had something to prove, when i'd already proved it a hundred times over.

☁️: yes. his name was evan. we met during a UC stretch where getting close to anyone was not a smart idea. but he was easy. not in the careless sense, just easy to be around. he looked at me like i was more than the role i was playing, and that felt safe. but it wasn't. the line between the job and him blurred until it disappeared. i knew i shouldn’t get involved, but by the time i realized i was in too deep, it was already over.

I saw sm1 say the real void is just pure awareness and ppl dont manifest in there bc there's no one to manifest and those who claim they manifested in the void werent actually in the void but in a deep calm state or they picked their desired identity after the void.what do u think abt that?

i think that it doesn't matter what belief you have as long as it works for you. i'm not a fan of telling people what they should or shouldn't believe, so if you agree with that person and that works for you? great. for me, and in my experience i do enter the void, and that's how i shift to my DR. in my opinion, the void is a deep meditative state, just deeper than a “calm state”. the void is just pure awareness, which is why you're able to use it to shift, because you're your true self there, there's no vessel or brain to hold you back.

but i feel that saying that those who claim to manifest in the void are wrong is just invalidating people's experiences.

New to the rookie. Just been watching it casually (I’m a shifter but I don’t plan to shift there). Point of this ask is to ask about the others a little more!!! Specifically John!! He’s probably my favorite of the bunch. Got any silly stories or anything? Or of Lucy, I quite like her as well. Or anyone else you wanna share about. Don’t feel obligated to of course! I’m just curious :3 happy shifting!!!

oooh i love this question because i love talking about my friends!!

john is my favorite too. he's honestly probably my best friend. i def have some silly stories with him over the years lol. one i remember vividly is when we were both at the station late doing reports, and i covered his entire desk in sticky notes with dumb dad jokes on each one when he went to the bathroom.

there was also a night more recently where a bunch of us went out for karaoke night. john picked a song from the top gun soundtrack. halfway through he got way too into it, stood on a chair, and proceeded to bust his ass. i have a video of it but it's so blurry.

as for lucy, love her down!!! she's such a sweetheart, and always always sees the good in everyone which is the opposite of how i am. she's also like oddly convincing?? even when she's not trying to be? there was one time we were at a bar and it was her turn to buy the table a round and she somehow got it for free from the bartender. she wasn't even flirting, she's just such a ray of sunshine you wanna give her things.

there's also a memory i have of her complimenting my hair and following it up with, “it looks so good… you almost don’t look like you’ve been through hell this week.” it was hilarious, obviously i laughed but she swore it “sounded nicer in her head.”

i'll also share one about angela because she's my everything. this one's not silly just a nice memory. she once sat with me for two hours in the parking lot after a rough case, no questions asked, just eating fries together and letting me be quiet until i was ready to talk. she's also the person i called after my break up with my ex (before tim), and she came over with wine and snacks and we watched friends reruns all night.

no worries!!! something regarding it that's not in my pinned is that while i have been successfully shifting for 3 years, it took me almost 2 and a half years to shift for the first time (but that was my fault because shifttok and limiting beliefs)
