Dear tech companies

Ok listen, I may not be qualified in any way to design or critique electronics, but I have an opinion. Tablets shouldn't be "phon but beeg," they should be what you can't or won't do with a laptop. Like having video input functionality without some stupid buggy app, so they work as a second monitor, or having customizable Ui like a computer so you can change icons and do more than mess around with widgets and backgrounds. I want something as open source as possible, like the ender 3. Have you seen what smart people with passion can do to open source code??? It also would need to be easily repairable/upgradable, like using nvme slots maybe to have lots of storage. A non inflated price due to competition is also vital. Most importantly, I want a well placed Aux port. Too bad this will never happen.

no more disc drives

there is nothing I detest more than the removal of backwards compatible tech and features that used to be standard from easily accessible technology. Yes you could in theory build a PC with every upgrade and reader under the sun, but 99% of people I know just purchase pre built, and will never do it themselves and/or refuse to try. What happens when regular USB ports cease to exist and USB-C is all that remains? Do you even know what a USB-A cable is? Have you seen one in the past ten years? How about micro-usb? Any last few struggling devices barely holding on? Sure my laptop has HDMI out, but how about HDMI IN! It has no disc drive either, and they stopped making laptops and PCs with them standard, or at all. I don't want to buy a whole other thing, and then install a driver for it on my already strained storage. The man can never take away your boxed set of the lord of the rings extended cut, but he will do his best to make sure you can't watch it anywhere but his streaming service by making the formatting obsolete. It happened to VCRs, it will happen to Blu-ray.

Btw don't even get me started on games consoles. Or do, I'm not you mom.
