one of the most insidious things about these shitty trans discourses is that mask off terfs will go to trans men and mascs and go
"see, the AMABS in your community are hurting u, they are silencing u, they are OPPRESSING u because u are FEMALE. we support u, we believe that u experience unique SEX BASED OPPRESSION. radfems are not your enemy, we're your allies"
and like, no, no, no, NO
that is horrible and disgusting to all trans ppl involved. apart from the fact that it misgenders everyone involved, it's a diseased mentality
if you're a young trans man or masc don't fucking fall for their cheap tricks just bc you're burnt out after months of being told that your oppression and pain don't matter. they are not being nice, they are trying to recruit u. radfems only ever have 2 desires for trans mascs and men, detransition or death
trans women have as much systemic power and privilege over trans men, as trans men have over trans women, which is absolutely none
we wouldn't even be in this situation if cis radfems wouldn't have spread their poison in queer spaces
they are trying to make us fight each other just so we can forget to fight them. and the worst thing? they're fucking succeeding
don't let them convince u that our own trans sisters are our enemy, they are not and will never be. if we don't have each other's backs in times like this no one will

i've been lurking in the transandrophobia tag for a few months now and i still don't get why people hate that term. so far from what i've gathered the arguments against it are all narrow-minded, ignorant or balancing on very specific double standards:
-a refusal to acknowledge the effect that being socially perceived as both a woman and a "freak" has had on transmascs
-a general blindness to the lives of trans men in the global south
-refusing to take things like fgm, honour killings or forced pregnancy seriously
-choosing to listen to cis people over trans men
-a general weirdness around intersex people - i first started paying attention to transandrophobia when i noticed that a lot of the red blogs on shinigami eyes seemed to be people who were just intersex.
-two slightly confused camps, people who claim trans men cannot experience misogyny and people who claim that trans men "just" experience misogyny (therefore the term "transandrophobia" isn't needed)
-people who for some reason think its a good idea to associate trans men with sexual assault <- as if trans men aren't already seen as sexually perverse by the general public
-posts that for some reason exclude trans men even though trans men are affected by whatever is being mentioned, eg. i saw a post about jkr that only mentioned trans women when jkr hates all trans people and the thesis of her original shit essay was the "epidemic" of "girls" seeking to transition
-similarly to above, a common argument against transandrophobia is "well [x] doesn't just affect trans men," but i constantly see things labeled as "transmisogyny" even though they affect pretty much every trans person (jkr's antics, being considered a sexual predator, various anti-trans laws).
-"joke" posts that boil down to "we should kill all transmascs" - i haven't ever seen a "joke" post from the """transandrobros""" even remotely close to this
-"transandrophobia truthers" simultaneously being called MRAs and TERFs
-constant lies about the transandrophobia tag. from what i've seen any transmisogyny gets shut down very quickly but all anti-transandrophobia posts say its rampant with transmisogyny which is just. not true unless you believe the term "transandrophobia" is inherently transmisogynistic, in which case thats just a circular argument.
-transandrophobia is "stealing" language from transfems - this is just how language works.
-"you're misgendering yourselves" and other stupid "gotchas"
-"theyfab" "tboy" "tme" and other ways of quietly dehumanising/infantilising transmascs
-ragebait

This is what you sound like talking about how trans men can't have gender privilege by the way: "I think most white woman vs black woman discourse ultimately stems from the painfully patriarchal worldview that black people and white people are opposites. Whatever privileges white people experience, black people experience the opposite. Whatever violence black people experience disproportionately, white people perpetrate it. Blacks are oppressed and whites oppress. And when we're only talking about men, that's pretty accurate.
But it doesn't really work when you map it onto women. Because patriarchal society doesn't reward or empower any sort of women to oppress anyone. Women do not have any sort of race-based privilege.
Black women and white women should not be understood as race-oppressor and race-oppressed the same way that male-centered black liberation views white people and black people. Doing so is honestly just blatantly ignoring the reality of women's lives, and will always just be a form of racialessensislism and/or bioessentialism."
I think you might be stupid. I really don't have anything else to say. This is stupid and not a good comparison at all. I don't think you passed English class in high school.

Good luck to trans men/mascs now the transandrophobia discourse hit TikTok and reddit
You’re not a transmisogynist for talking about your own unique experiences
You have a right to talk about how you don’t get cis male privileges
Masculinity doesn’t make you evil or oppressive
Don’t let shitty queer discourse keep you from discussing your lived experiences

sorry for the random question but what's your opinion on transmasc people?
They should install Firefox with UBlock Origin and start using a password manager (I recommend bitwarden)

Heads up that I've seen three blatant terfs trying to cause division now in this tag. Watch out for gross and misgendering language which calls trans men stuff like "fellow females". The posts tend to be pitting trans men and women against each other. The posts also insist transandrophobia is just misogyny - which is also incorrect.
Remember that a significant part of radical feminist ideology includes hatred of men and masculinity - which they use to misgender trans women and to harass trans men. I've seen this three times now where terfs trying to meddle in the tag claim transandrophobia is "just misogyny" (and try to recruit transmascs by claiming a shared "female" oppression). Don't fall for it.
This is why the hatred or fear of men is an intrinsic part of transandrophobia. Please remember to keep this in mind because otherwise it is allowing terfs to exploit the misdefinition of the term to recruit. Terfs do not have your best interests at heart and they either want you to detransition or die. I'm worried younger transmascs might not notice those posts are by terfs and may end up suckered in.
Transandrophobia can include misogyny - but the definition is incomplete without recognising the hatred or fear of men. Terfs cannot recruit without misrepresenting what the term means - as I mentioned, a core part of radical feminism involves a hatred or fear of men. Remembering that that hatred is a core part of transandrophobia is a vanguard against terfs and prevents them from preying upon vulnerable transmascs who don't notice their dogwhistles.

It must suck for all the TMA fans trying to use tumblr to look at cool fan art for their horror audio series, and getting recommended a bunch of queer discourse they have no interest in

Trans men who live in countries where medical transition is covered by the government will take every opportunity to talk about how good they have it to trans men who live in countries where we have to fund our own transition.

when i first heard about the male loneliness epidemic i was like oh yeah close camaraderie and bonding between men is often discouraged in favor of competition or, if not discouraged, at least filtered through a lens of individualism that precludes deep connections. and then i learned what people meant by it (men arent getting laid) to which i say skill issue

Reminder before you post here: There are trans people of color in this tag speaking on their experiences. Are you ignoring them before you make a genralized statement about what you think we go through due to what we were assigned at birth? Are you considering the naunce of the non-white, and honestly, non-american/uk experience? Are you making a shitty conparison to race where it's not needed? Are you ?

Why do we call period products “feminine products?”
I am vanquishing demons on a monthly basis. I am blemishing pristine white with the blood of my enemies. I am climbing mountains despite the shared anguish of fallen soldiers.
If you want period products with flowery designs and “girlboss” energy, fine. Keep your pink tax. Keep your unnecessarily gendered products. But can us men with periods ALSO get unnecessarily gendered period products?
Where are the boxes with designs of badass dragons and bears and krakens? Where are the “scents” with nonexistent names like Atlantic Mist or some shit?
Capitalists! Ppssspss! I’ll pay extra for the pads with a knight in armor on the package! Pwetty pwease!

Can we talk about how the vast majority of any porn/sexually explicit/fantasy geared to, or even remotely involving transmascs must involve the transmasc being 'fucked', uses of the word 'cunt'/'pussy'boy*, rape fantasies, breaking/turning the transmasc into a 'doll', fantasies of abuse etc?
And yet i very rarely meet transmascs who actually want anywhere near the level of (consensual) violence that people fantasise about inflicting, and push? A great deal of transmascs experience bottom dysphoria or at leas dysphoria at the idea of PIV sex, which is what a lot of these fantasies are about? There's a huge centre of porn focusing on 'reminding' transmascs about their vagina (usually in far cruder terms) And like, I don't want to kinkshame, but general trends always are rooted in something. Like the fact that 'dykebreaking', is SOOOO much more common than the idea of 'fagbreaking?'. Or that vast majority of porn caters to having the male anatomy being 'satisfied', and promotes unrealistic ideas about what is usually pleasurable for the one being penetrated.
I just think its something that should be thought about, like why is the majority of transmasc sexually explicit stuff, centred around what would (mostly) not be pleasurable for the transmasculine person? *not even getting started on how its always 'BOY' and never 'MAN/GUY'
