Also, I'm currently re-reading the "Rivers of London" books (a.k.a. PC Peter Grant series). I haven't read the latest two novellas yet, but apparently Thomas Nightingale is canonically asexual now? Cool. And also the tv series seems to finally get a move on, too (*crosses fingers for either Paul McGann or James D'Arcy as Nightingale and either Alfred Enoch or Kobna Holdbrock-Smith as Peter Grant*)

Can I just take a moment to tell everyone how happy I am that Netflix is streaming a new anime adaption of Ranma ½!

It's one of the best manga that were ever released and I've never encountered more original, wholesome or funnier characters than them. And I didn't even know how much I missed P-chan!!! 🐷 🤣

Episodes on Netflix are released weekly on Saturdays, simultaneously with Japan, and so far (ep. 11) it not only follows the original manga almost scene for scene (with a "Tokyo in the 80ies"-disclaimer at the start of the first episode 😂), but also almost all Seiyuu from the old anime are reprising their roles.

I just hope they also follow the manga where Ranma's classmates later realise that Ranma-boy and Ranma-girl are the same person (I heard in the old anime it stayed a secret) and just continue to accept him. Like, Oh, that's just our classmate Ranma, he sometimes turns into a girl, what else is new. Speaking of which, our girl's team is one member short, somebody go push Ranma into the pool!

I don't even want to know what the terminally online Gen Z's feel might be problematic about it. Get off my lawn, kiddies (preemptively).

Well, it's better than a cancellation. But only barely.

I hope the writer they'll get to finish the script is John Finnemore. (Crossing fingers 🤞🏻 🤞🏻 🤞🏻) But hoping that Douglas McKinnon will come back as showrunner director is probably too much to ask.

Terry Pratchett deserved better. Michael Sheen, David Tennant, and the whole production staff deserved better. All the asexual, genderqueer, gay & neurodivergent fans deserved better.

But at least the crushing uncertainty and anxiety is now over.

I finally caught up with the Psych movies and can I just say:

Holy fucking fuck, Lassie! 😍

There was no reason for Timothy Omundson to rock that cane-carrying bearded silver fox look so hard. 🥵

And can I just add how much I adore that they not only credited Timothy Omundson in the first movie as if he had just shown up and filmed the part that had originally been written for him, and then integrated what happened to him into his character, and then went ahead and made the entire second movie all about that. I also bet that a lot of Lassie's lines from the third movie are autobiographical for the actor as well. There seems to be so much love going around behind the scenes of that show, I can't even. 💙

I know Timothy Omundson aged really fast and visibly during the last few years, which is not surprising considering what he went through in that time, but it's amazing that not only did he come back from it but that he does it with such style. There's nothing sexier than that. 🔥 (Oh yeah and they better bring Hephaestus back a lot during the next seasons of Percy Jackson. Just sayin'. We grown ups need something to look forward to in that show, as well.)

may I make a request?

As opposed to Crowley, whose hair length (canonically and unrelated to gender presentation) always varies, Aziraphale has always short hair. Always. Even in ancient times when he would have gotten away with / might have been expected to have long hair, as a man.

As a genderfluid afab with short hair who very much relates to Aziraphale, I am saddened that basically every.time. Aziraphale is depicted as female her hair is long.

Why?

I would hereby like to ask for more short-haired fem!Aziraphale in fanarts.

She doesn't even need to be butch. Just have Aziraphale's usual short hair. (Not the chin-length feminine bob that some people think means short-haired for women. It's not, it's chin-length.)
