Bat Costume Early Designs
Posted: (10/31/2017)
The early designs for Clementine’s 2017 Halloween costume. Not many changes since I already had a pretty solid idea of what I wanted. The only thing I needed to explore were the shoes and the leggings.
It makes sense that Clemmy wanted to be a bat. Her feet already squeak!

Pumpkin Dress Early Designs
Posted: (10/30/2017)
The early designs for the Pumpkin dress Clemmy wore on Halloween. I was originally going for a “Lenore” look with the skull hair clips, but I ultimately thought the bat headband was cuter. It’s based off an actual headband I use to own, but instead of a bat, it was a plush spider. The reason I changed it to a bat was because I wanted to hint at what Clementine’s Halloween costume was going to be.

Pink Princess Early Designs
Posted: (06/14/2017)
The early concepts for Clementine’s princess dress. This was where I started to number my designs so it would be more organized for friends to give me their opinions. I wanted the dress to be ridiculously frilly, but also have a childish feel to it by making the skirt ankle length. I wanted it to look like some dress up item you would find in the toy section.

RPG AU (Boss) Early Designs

The early designs for Boss!Clementine. I wanted her hair and hat to look more like a traditional witch, and the dress to have a lot of ‘Final Fantasy’ elements.

RPG AU (Party) Staff Study
Posted: (06/13/2017)
The staff variations I explored for the RPG AU (Party) over at Clem’s. Again, I wanted to stick with a magical girl sort of feel, but also give it a more serious and stain glass kind of look for the RPG elements.

Here’s all the design research I did for the RPG AU (Party) over at Clem’s blog. As you can see, I put a HELL OF A LOT OF WORK INTO THIS OMG I DIDN’T EVEN REALIZE.
Check out the original post for more notes.

Clementine the Rag Doll (Character Study)
Posted: (06/12/2017)
A rag doll character I designed over two years ago, but never got to update until now. I thought she would be the perfect candidate to practice my character designing.
The first picture was her very old design. She wasn’t really a rag doll per say, just more of a generic doll. However, after two years or so, I started thinking what I could change to better reflect her personality and status as a doll.
Clementine is someone who loves giving and receiving hugs, so what better way to emphasize that then to make her 1000x more huggable. The second picture was where I started to come up with designs. I had a more warmer color theme back then, and I was aiming to make her look more “traditional”. Almost like a Raggedy Ann theme.
After a while, I wasn’t really happy with the colors. I associate this Clementine as someone who would prefer pastel shades, so I started to brightened up the pallet, as well as explore more dresses for her.
The last pic was the design I went for, and from then on, she’s been looking for trouble over at @sewn-cutie. It’s so nice to have her back, and from her, I’m hoping to improve more of my overall character designing.

Kitty Stencils (a.k.a I’m a dumb ass who accidentally deleted the original file so let’s just call this a rough draft until I remake it again.)
Posted: (06/12/2017)
So little story behind this piece. It was going to be used for a school project where we had to make four printing stencils that all had to fit one theme. My theme was cats, and I thought it would be cool to add heads and tails that related with the number of the drawing.
We ended up not doing the project cause reasons I won’t get into, and these guys ended up just being a rough concept sitting in my computer. As I was cleaning out my files, I...accidentally deleted the original piece...
So uh...here’s the previews! Hope you’re happy with them! Fear not though, I’m planning to remake the original piece sometime in the future, and since I am rather fond of these guys, I might just re-use them in my other art pieces as well.

WE ARE BACK IN BUSINESS
Damn it’s been a while.
Sorry for the absence. College and all has taken it’s toll, and I wasn’t really on top of my game when it came to making serious art. But now that things have died down a little, I’m back in business and ready to update this super dusty blog. I’ll (hopefully) be posting a new picture of me tomorrow, and the queue is filled with some new artwork. While most of them are from my blog @sewn-cutie, there are also a few rough concepts and mind maps that I never showed over there. So expect some of those during the course of this week.
It’s good to be back! Now that I have more free time, maybe I’ll be able to work on some personal projects or two.

Well shit I didn’t even realized I never posted this. Sorry about that. This was for my Comm. Tech CPT, where we had to make a 4 minute documentary. I’m actually really satisfied how this came out.
Bloopers!

Muffin Cat
Posted: (07/13/2016)
I gave this painting as a gift to my art teacher. She loves cats, so I decided to paint a cat with the Muffin Witch’s hat, since I created the character in her class. Doing small details with acrylic is a big challenge for me, but I wanted to try it.
