back to some doll content. been motivated to take some photos as of late.

There were some boat moves and I made some comics about them. I should probably draw the chimacum-issaquah-cathlamet one buuuuuuut

just realized i forgot to shade in their coats oops at this point im gonna forget drawing on the halos for the older boats for ref on the last comic, gijinka mv puyallup is 6'8" and probably +500lb since all of the gijinkas are weird robots and yes gijinka mv spokane is also really tall and all jumbo classes are +6'5". The Super class boats are tall as well but they're around 6'-6'1" and are very lanky and thin compared to the Jumbo classes, which are buff, although the OG Jumbos are less so compared to the MKIIs, which are jacked.

also trying to figure out the design for just one more boat for the pt 2 of the zine. i've never been on any of the boats in pt 2 so it's completely vibe based and from what i can see in photos

and there's been a few more boat moves. tokitae-kitsap-kaleetan. i think kaleetan was moved to eagle harbor since walla walla really needs to go to the yard and tacoma will be yarded later in the year.

MV Suquamish is in Eagle Harbor (for a bit now) for some annual maintenance. MV Chimacum is also there buuuuut it being Chimacum, looks like he'll be there for a bit longer. (edit he just got sent to Vigor but he's going to be back to Eagle eventually.)

Ferry Fanzine releases soon!

I'm excited to release my first zine and it features gijinkas of the Washington State ferries on Central Puget Sound!

It will be available at the Bremerton Zine Swap on August 2nd! The only thing you need is another zine, preferably your own, to swap with me!

A digital version will be available after the zine swap.

almost done with my silly little ferry gijinka zine and i realize that i honestly have no idea what the actual cover should look like. it's probably just going to be refined placeholder art at this rate. i also have no idea what to do with the back cover.

this zine is being made for the bremerton zine swap and hopefully it wont be too jank. i might put it up online if the people at the swap like it.

Posting more of the boat stuff that I drew, as cursed as it may be. I need to get better at shading since some stuff like barely showed up.

The MV Suquamish is oddly cute compared to the other ferries in the fleet. I don't know why. He's been everywhere and I hope he gets a permanent route since being a relief boat means that he also gets dragged everywhere. I think his siblings, MV Samish and MV Chimacum, more or less have permanent routes but the oldest Olympic, MV Tokitae, seems to also be a relief boat more or less and is usually on the Mukilteo-Clinton route. As of today, MV Suquamish is currently on the Kingston-Edmonds route and is hanging out with MV Spokane, which is a huge ferry from the 1970s.

I hope I can draw more of them since I do like drawing gijinkas of them. I'm surprised that I didn't find any for the Washington ferries??? I know these boats are kinda mid with the green used in the livery isn't the prettiest and looks terrible when sunbleached.

we're getting closer to a final design. he's fun to draw and i'll have to draw him a lot soon. i need to count up all of the chapters and one sketch per chapter...not to mention the front cover and other things.

i was planning to do the 25 expression template challenge with him and his boss, Meia, but then remembered that these two don't emote with their facial expressions since he's a bird and his boss is a plant.

Sculpt: Peach Black Half Eye ver

Why is hybriding BJDs so hard. I'm dragging out so many different heads and dolls just to see whether the shade of a single head would be closer to Mia Pink or DD Semi White since even though there's a literal standard for the color, it's always off, so here I am, trying to determine between whether the shade will be a lighter shade of pink or an ever so slightly but also very noticeable if you mess up darker shade of pink. At least I determine that it is definitely not any shade of white, which has actually been an issue before. Is it pink? Is a warmer shade of white? Or is it this white-yellow? Or is the resin paper white, so it can't do any Mia White body? Which is the standard white for most smaller artist bodies? Or was it Mia White but it was a white that came out closer to paper white? Or does it already have yellowing so good luck trying to figure out what to do with this! sobs

and dont even get me started on tan resin hybriding.

i know dyeing is a solution but it's not a cure all.

A tiny little spider BJD. It's really small, even smaller than the usual 1/12 size. It came in a cute little 3D printed box and the wig and eyes are extras. Look how small the eyes are compared to a 12 mm eye.

This is from the same artist as the two faced head that I posted earlier, and they also have a kraken and lamia. I hope they'll make them in color again cause I really want a purple kraken and a green snek. The doll is wired and held together by bracelet elastic. I have no idea how to restring this when I have to.

It's super cute! Bottom left shows the size vs an obitsu doll, and bottom left is it being held by a 65 cm doll.

He's so cute. I had a bit of a hard time with his necktie and his hair, and I didn't even put in his hairpins. Maybe later.

I didn't order his ears, which were an add on if you ordered on Taobao. I don't like flocked stuff and I ordered some ears from Forest doll that I think would look better and because I just love their stuff. I also ordered another pair for Cassandra who will likely be arriving in June.

All of his stuff came in individual bags this time, which is new since most of my other 1/6 Tinyfoxes had all their clothes together. I love the box for the extra hands. "Paper!" "Rock!" Overall, much neater due to the single large resealable bag containing all the other little bags.

Mokoi looks very bullyable and my other 1/6 Tinyfoxes feel like they will give him so much shit.

I see him as a bit of a pet to Lilith, who is totally not my favorite Tinyfox. He's going to pair well with Cassandra, and Lilith will have two cats.

A wonderful two faced sculpt. The artist also made these movable wing ear attachments and it complements the sculpt. In fact, they used this head as one of the models. They usually make very tiny dolls, but I do hope they make more bizarre heads like this.

Sculpt: 擒鱼自制 江江 Size: 1/4 Wings were not included with the sculpt. No COA and arrived in generic gift box. Artist does not appear to have COAs.
