The first time, it’s exuberant and she’s still fumbling along. Perhaps Rebecca wants too much at once, and she still doesn’t have the confidence and experience to simply go with less. She has a good eye, though, and she trusts her gut.

The first time she designs a wedding dress for Marlene, it’s more about getting her into fashion school than about the bride. She needs to make a statement that gets her admitted.

It’s strapless and floor-length, with structuring panels of shimmering taffeta, its strength contrasted by fine gathers playfully showcasing the curve of Marlene’s waist. She adds small gemstones, as if thrown by a careless hand like stars unto the night sky.

And Marlene shines.

The first time, it is heavy deckle edged paper, ecru with a hint of rose, and with subtle trace of gold underlying the watermark monogram. It is the perfect romantic invitation, fit for a fairytale wedding.

Hagen isn’t a prince, but he is a count, and there is a castle, and horses, and a carriage. She even manages to squeeze in the white doves. As awkward as the halfhearted proposal has been, the wedding will outshine all doubts. This is just the scenario Marlene has dreamt up as a little girl already, and a few little kinks won’t deter from it.

She spends long nights searching the perfect linked monogram, her initials and Hagen’s, but then Elisabeth cuts in – the comital monogram would be sufficient, there is the press to consider, and Marlene doesn’t get much of say, and Hagen doesn’t really care about things like watermarks with a subtle shade of gold.

But Marlene sees her dream so close, so she grits her teeth and will simply iron out another kink or two.

Looks like Jasmin's made for tv movie co-starring Kristina Dörfer (Olivia!!!) is going to air in January. Apparently it's a supernatural movie about girls discovering a book that gives them dark powers.

It used to be called Bible of Blood, it's now called Blood Sisters.
