Shiloh blinked. Shy Luffy was both unexpected and adorable. His question also threw her for a bit of a loop. Would she be jealous if Luffy was out kissing other people? She’d never stopped to think about it. Confusion and concern carved a light line between her brows.

“Do you want to kiss other people?” His question was answered with another question, asked slowly. As far as Shiloh was aware Luffy only thought of kissing as something fun to do. She had no idea if he understood the usual intimacy behind the act. Shiloh wasn’t sure how she’d feel if he did know.

Tucking her book under her arm, she leaned back against the railing of the ship. Wind blew copper curls around her face. “If you do…I don’t think I have any reason to stop you. And I don’t want to stifle your freedom.”

Her laugh was pure music.

He couldnt keep the grin off his face, nor stop his actions as he shifted in her lap. His hand once again moved to the back of her neck as he gently brought her face to his.

His lips brushed hers softly - testing. They were as soft as a cloud and he found himself wondering what she tasted like. Did she taste like a cloud? Did she taste like the quiche they both just shared? Would she let him find out?

"Like that?" He said softly.

His head shot up at her reply. Well... That wasn't what he expected.

Almost instantly, his stomach tightened and he felt like his chest was going to explode. What was this? Why did he feel this way? It was almost like he was hungry and drowning at the same time.

"No! " He all but yelled as he tried to catch his breath. He watched her move, watched her hair float in the breeze and before he could stop himself, he reached out a hand and tucked the stray strand behind her ear.

"I dont think i want to... you know...is that ok?" He asked, his brows knitting as he tried to get a breath. Was he drowning?

"I cant really breathe." He finally said, worry shaking his core. This was a reaction he had never experienced before and he really had no idea what it was.

All he did know was if she did say she did want him to kiss others that he might actually stop breathing all together.

He smiled as she lifted him with ease - her powers of transformation never ceasing to astonish him. Sure, he could stretch in a million directions, but to be able to transform?! That was truly something else. She was amazing!

Holding onto the goods as tight as he could, he tried to hold onto her as well as she raced them fast through the woods and towards the docks.

"Do you think the crew will view me differently?" He asked a bit cautiously. He trusted her...but...

"Do you think they will think im weak because i got hit?"

“Yeah,” she mumbled as she made sure the tourniquet was secured before picking him up. “You were… they got you good,” she frowned, taking her hybrid form as it allowed her to carry him more easily. A petite woman of only 5’0” wasn’t really able to carry a man with ease, despite her immense strength, but a 7’0” werewolf could handle such cargo with ease.

“Don’t worry,” she added as she took off toward the ship and the others. “They didn’t get you good enough to take out the future pirate king,” she joked, hoping to alleviate his worries.

The truth was, she didn’t know how badly he’d been hurt and the scent of his blood stung her nose. She didn’t like it and pushed herself to run faster.

Her reply had him confused. He still couldnt fathom someone being jealous. These feelings of joy he had while around Shiloh were relatively new and the thought of someone else being jealous or having the same feelings for him in return.. were... well... hard to understand at the moment.

He only ever felt this joy when he ate pie in the past...

"Well, what about you?" He asked, playing along. "If i was kissing others, would, well.." He paused, rubbing the back of his neck as he found himself growing... shy?

"You know, would you...?" He couldnt find the words to finish his scentence.

This emotional stuff was confusing.

She took the smallest step back to ensure she wouldn’t be hit as he hopped down. Other than that, Shiloh let Luffy decide on the distance between them. Part of her liked seeing his grin close up. It was the kind of grin that made the corners of her own lips twitch up.

“Oh there’s no doubt.” Shiloh smirked and lightly tapped his shoulder with the book she still held in her hand. “Out there in the world there’s someone who’s madly in love with you. And they’ll definitely be jealous I’ve been getting your kisses.”

Its been a minute friends, sorry about that! I was enjoying the holidays and then life got away from me.

Im excited to be back and look forward to writing with you all again! I will review the drafts but if i miss anything, please don't hesitate to let me know.

He let his smile drop for a moment. No, no she would not join them and even though he knew her place was here, he was disappointed. He enjoyed her company and would have appreciated it on the wide open sea. Plus her cooking!

"I will keep you to that." He replied, his grin back in place though this time not quite meeting his eye. He would miss his friend.

"You're sweet Luffy." Jo shook her head. "Thank you for the offer, I do really appreciate it. But I don't think a pirate's life is for me. "

She held out her hand a flame wrapped around it. "Besides fire and water don't mix like I said. But I promise, not matter how far you roam you'll be welcome here."

While climbing a mast, he saw there, near the beach a face. An unfamiliar face.

"Hey! " He called out, his signature smile in place as he swung a leg over the side of the mast, now peering down.

"Hey! You down there!"

He had not seen another face nearby for weeks other than his crew. They had docked a few days ago and he was busy doing the cleaning tasks Nami set out for him to accomplish.

A new face was a welcomed distraction.

Koa was walking along the beach when she suddenly spotted a ship anchored nearby. Confused, she raised an eyebrow. There was no harbor here, this was on the other side of the island and ships usually didn't anchor in this area due to the many cliffs and rocks that made anchoring here difficult. Most people considered the risk of damaging their vessels too great and therefore avoided anchoring here.

As Koa got closer to the ship, she recognized the figurehead, which looked like a lamb. When she reached the front of the ship, she tilted her head before looking around briefly, trying to see who the ship belonged to, but there was no one in sight.

She walked along the ship as far as she could without going too deep into the water, admiring it from all angles and becoming enchanted by its beauty. //Who does this ship belong to?// Koa asked herself.

"Can i find a snack?" He asked as he began to root in the bag. He stood and faltered as he yanked open the burlap. Wincing, he planted himself in a seated position.

"Ill just wait i think." He added as he gathered up the strings once more. A shot of lightening lanced though his leg as he let out another yelp. Pain racing though his blood. Yup. Yup he was hit.

"I think i may have gotten cut." He admitted, now finally taking a look at his jeans.

She yelped as they shot forward into the forest, heart leaping up into her throat. She rolled with a thud when they landed, groaning softly as she got back to her feet. “Yeah,” she mumbled, although it was clear she wasn’t a fan of his mode of transportation, but she didn’t complain as it’d gotten them out of harm's way a lot faster than simply running. Now they had a little time to regroup.

She took one look at his bloody jeans and frowned. There wasn’t time to see how bad it was, but she tore off a piece of her shirt and then tied it around his leg, just above where the darkest bloodstain was. 

“Can you hold onto the bag while I carry you?” She looked in the direction of the Marine’s, their voices easily reaching her sensitive ears. They didn’t know which direction they’d gone and were fanning out.

He smiled at her words, grateful that she said it was all his. He would have shared...or at least he would have tried to share...

Taking massive bites, he watched her continue to cook and was once again enthralled. How was it that people just... knew... how to make delicious things? His problem was that hew as never patient enough to wait...

"Absolutely." he said between mouthfulls as an idea dawned on him.

"Hey, would you want to join my crew?"

Not only was she an amazing cook, but she was a great story teller! Maybe... maybe she would want to take an adventure of her own out on the sea?

"Of course it's all for you! I can't have the future king of the pirates going hungry can I?" Jo insisted. "That's your plate." She promised. "I'm going to make some for me."

She cracked a handful of eggs into the pan and made a much smaller omelets then his own. "Feel better?"

His eyes widened astronimically as she leaned in. He took a step back and almost stumbled to the ground. Even though he had just kissed her, he was still conscious of personal space after all... Or at least he knew he should be.

Her grin had him relax though as he braced himself against the crates behind him. "Nigori?" He repeated, the word tasting like clouds on his tongue.

He smiled when she returned his hat and ran to give her a hug at her words. What was that concept about personal space again? Oh well, it would be something he could try and remember later.

"Im so glad your enjoying the celebration! "

She couldn't help the soft laugh that fell from her lips. Had it been any other man to kiss her she'd have been horrified, but something about Luffy made her feel like it had been more childish curiosity than anything else.

A playful grin pulled over her lips as she leaned in a bit, eyes dancing slightly as she countered. "Did you try the Nigori thinking that it was milk?" From the flush on his cheeks, it did look as though he'd consumed alcohol and that he wasn't used to it.

Reaching down she plucked his hat from the ground where it had fallen while he'd kissed her. Slipping it back onto his dark locks she added. "This is the first celebration in twenty years I've been able to enjoy thanks to you and your crew Luffy."

He withdrew his prizes and made his way back to the table, a slab of cheesecake already in his awaiting mouth.

"Or... or next time i can wake everyone and we can have a feast! Nothing like a team building feast!" He said between mouthfulls as he finished his treat and began to move onto the chicken leg now dangling in his grasp.

"Of course, you forgot." He muttered under his breath even as he made a mental note to check the pantry later. There was no way Luffy made it through the whole night without eating after all, which meant he'd probably raided their provisions.

Rolling his eyes at the shouted excitement from his captain, who he swore had half of his body now in the ice box. "Next time you get hungry in the middle of the night look there!"

He couldnt keep the grin off of his face.

What started out as a challenge from Nami that he was sure she didnt think he would actually take (she should know better...), soon turned into... well.

Still swinging by his knees, he reached forward to cup her cheeks in his hands. Her blush was soft and matched his own.

When she kissed his nose, he swung forward and kissed hers back, the smile only growing.

"That was nice." He replied finally, still holding her face.

He was ridiculous, but clearly she didn’t mind as she grinned, moving to press her lips to his. The kiss was rather simple or it started out that way. Hands lifted to cup his face and she deepened the kiss, smiling against his lips as she did so. When she pulled away she was a little breathless and hoped he was too. She was blushing as she stole another kiss, giggling as she then kissed the tip of his nose.

“Hey,” she breathed, smiling.

He grinned and wrapped his arm around his newest crew member.

"This is Saburo! Hes going to join us and become a Straw Hat Pirate!" He said matter of factly, giving his shoulder a squeeze.

At Zoro's comment about the marienes, he also added detail.

"Yeah, they were everywhere. But im sure they wont be a problem anymore. They have bigger things to worry about."

He looked out to the sea with longing and then back to his crew.

"A boat. Thats exactly what we came here for! Can you introduce us to Kaya?"

"Ah... It's okay, you were doing a very selfless and heroic act." He quickly followed Luffy to the meeting point, having put all his plants he wanted to take with him in the bag he carried. "Luffy, who's this?" The red-haired navigator asked. "My apologies for being late... He was saving me from the Marines, it was very kind and brave of him to interfere." Saburo offered. "The Marines?" Zoro asked. "They've been encroaching on this town more and more, thought I did something to their brother, but I never knew him. If you're looking for a ship, Kaya's the person to talk to." The medicine man offered.
