Performages were robbed in the TCG/OCG

Here's Trapeze Witch's effect in the anime.

Not crazy, but not bad either, you know? Provides card effect destruction and targeting protection for all your dudes, can't be attacked while you have another Performage, and weakens monsters that attack your monsters. It's a fun card. A cool card. A perfectly neat card.

Now here's Trapeze Witch's effect in the actual game now that they've released the new wave of support.

Yeah, I get it. It works with Trapeze Magician's effect which lets a monster attack twice, but destroys it the battle phase.

...but you changed a good piece of blanket protection into a worse piece of blanket protection with a niche interaction that'll never happen.

Targeting protection is neat, but it doesn't quite hit the same when your guys can still all die to Raigeki... like mine did... before I realized what she actually does.

I might've forgiven this if they were just being faithful to the anime, but no. They deliberately went out of their way to make it worse.

And like... why??? Oh sure, as if Performages were gonna be too broken otherwise. In this game environment.

And considering how Konami almost never does an errata to make cards better? Things aren't looking too hot for Performage fans...

Made another video on this story. This time, it's an actual discussion. Pretty short, though. 9 minutes. Maybe I'll make a longer one in the future, but I'd like to move on to other topics.

For context, this person who goes by Vile.EXE/Taylor Gorrel wrote part of a fanfic that's basically a Season 2 of the show. I say "part of" because, like many fanfics, it remains incomplete to this day at "only" 8 chapters/episodes. Still, I think it's pretty good and worth your time.

Aight, consider this my annual acknowledgement that Undertale's anniversary is here.

9 years. Bro, we're so close to 10 on this thing. And that's crazy. Here's hoping nothing bad happens 'till then.

And hey, while I've got you here, lemme just give a shoutout to a fanfic I came across this year. Glitchtale Rewrite is... well, that.

Glitchtale is a series that suffered from a few things, but one of them is how it handled its ideas, of which I think there were too many.

This story takes some of Glitchtale's ideas, expands on them, and combines them with new ones to create what is kind of essentially another way Glitchtale could have gone down.

Supposedly, it was "created out of spite for the creator of Glitchtale". I get it. I'd rather leave the controversy out of this, but the author's feelings are, at minimum, understandable. Enough said.

Now, despite this motivation, the story feels like a very genuine and compelling attempt at exploring some of what Glitchtale could have been.

While it's likely going to be left unfinished, I think it's absolutely worth your time.
