Hot Chip - Dancing In The Dark

Earlier this week Hot Chip dropped a new video on the world. And it’s not just any song, it’s their take on The Boss’s Dancing In The Dark.

And yes, the video’s a little weird, but it’s a pretty awesome cover track. 

Oh, and make sure you watch it all the way through, because they also throw in a little bit of an added bonus cover with some LCD Soundsystem towards the end.

2 New Kanye Tracks

Right when you’re least expecting it, Kanye West comes and drops 2 (sort of) new tracks out of nowhere.

They’re only sort of new, because the first one is a newer version of his Say You Will and the second is a West’s take on The Weekend’s When I Say It.

To be honest, neither of the tracks will blow your mind. But it does make you wonder where they came from and if Kanye has any more tricks up his sleeve that he’s waiting to drop on the world shortly.

I love it because it reminds me of the classic posters they did when they re-released the original trilogy.

Bleachers - Terrible Thrills Vol. 2

Were you a fan of Bleachers’ debut album last year? If you were, this new album will be a bit of a treat for you.

Released last week, Bleachers has put out a new version of the album. The twist on this one? Every song is a cover from his original album done by an awesome female artist.

The tracks play in the same order as the original album, but the songs are performed by some female music heavyweights like Charlie XCX, Sia and ever Carly Rae Jepsen.

I’m really digging this album and I think you will too.

Wow! This new trailer for HEROES Reborn makes it look like the show is going to be as good as the 1st season of the original HEROES (not like the subsequent seasons that just kept sliding further and further downhill)

Yes, you’ve likely seen this already and I’m almost a week late in posting it. But to be fair, I haven’t posted on here in a while and even 5 days after this came out it’s still pretty freakin’ awesome if you’re a big Star Wars fan like me.

Mark Ronson - Uptown Funk ft. Bruno Mars Uber producer Mark Ronson has a new album coming out in January (I think) and he's just dropped the first single off the album's video. It's a pretty awesome late 70's/ early 80's funk jam that has all the feel of an awesome Rick James or Morris Day And The Time throw back... and so does the video. Can't wait to see what else Ronson has in store for this album, because I've yet to meet a Mark Ronson track that I haven't liked.

God Only Knows - BBC Music What happens when you take one of the (if not THE) best Beach Boys songs and ask a ton of amazing musical artists to help perform it for the sake of BBC's music foundation (who are releasing the single for BBC's Children In Need campaign)? You get this AMAZING video. There's just so many artists singing an amazing song. Some notable highlights in the song include Pharell, Elton John, Lorde, Florence Welch (Florence and the Machine), Sam Smith, Chris Martin (Coldplay), Brain May (Queen), Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters) and soooooooo many more. Oh ya, and the only man who gets to sing more than one line for the song, the incredible man that originally wrote the track, Mr Brian Wilson. Nothing more to say. Just enjoy it.

Mortal Kombat X teaser I grew up playing the Mortal Kombat games. It's actually even hard to believe that they're still making them... but they are. Check out this trailer for Mortal Kombat X. It looks amazing (let's just hope the game play actually looks this amazing too). It's not out until 2015, but with almost 4 million views of this trailer in just a bit over 24 hours, I'm pretty sure a lot of people like me will be eagerly awaiting it. BRICKSY: Banksy Art Recreated in LEGO I've always been a big fan of Banksy's street art (and occasional other weird forms of art). I've also always been a HUGE fan of LEGO. So, imagine my genuine joy when I found the two of them fused together. This is a brilliant series of photos done by a photographer named Jeff Friesen and it takes some of Banksy's most popular works and recreates them in LEGO form along with a bit more of a scene added around them for effect. Jurassic 5 - The Way We Do It (Prod. by Heavy D) Out of nowhere, J5 returns to the spotlight with their first new track in something like 8 years. And it's a banger. A great beat that samples The White Stripes' "Doorbell" (a favourite White Stripes track mine) that was put together by the late great Heavy D goes fantastically with the much missed lyrical play of the J5 crew. This is a great track you should listen to few times. And does tis mean a new J5 album may be on its way? We can only hope so. (by Jurassic 5 Official)

Great Odin’s Raven - Ron Burgundy Blended Scotch

To add to what I think is the most amazing marketing campaign for a movie ever, the people behind Anchorman 2 are releasing a limited edition special version of Mr Burgundy's favourite drink; scotchy scotch scotch.

Not much is know about the scotch yet... like if it's any good. But does that stop me from wanting a bottle so badly that I'd kill a man with a trident? Hell no.

Said to be coming out this month, keep an eye out for Great Odin's Raven scotch.

Oh, and if you're one of the lucky people to find a bottle... maybe grab an extra one for me.
