Another thought I can’t stop thinking:

Thoughts on biker gang! Johnny and florist! Simon Riley?

There's a bar across the street from Riley's Roses that is often frequented by bikers. Simon watches them coming and going as he cleans up, trims the flowers, wraps them into bouquets. It had been mostly innocuous and a bit entertaining at times to see them loitering in the parking lot, neat rows of pristine bikes, smoking, drinking, laughing.

That was until someone caught Simon's eye. Long and wavy mohawk, dazzling smile, built body underneath his leather jacket, handsome beyond belief.

It's so stupid. Simon feels flustered looking at the man he's never even spoken, nor even know his name. When he went around the alley to dispose of some trash, he glanced over at the bar. At the same time, the handsome stranger glanced up at Simon, catching his eye.

Simon nervously retreated back inside, hiding a blush that threatened the creep upon his cheeks.

One day, the stranger wanders into Simon's store.

He glances around in awe as he makes his way up to the desk. That smile and those eyes up close makes Simon's heart skip a beat. And he asks about purchasing a single rose.

"Looking to impress someone?" Simon asks as he wraps up the flower.

The man let out a breathy chuckle, his devious eyes tantalizingly looking Simon up and down.

"Seems I already have..." He then held out his hand. "Johnny."

Somehow Simon muttered out his own name as they shook hands.

Only when Johnny left with a wave and the doors closed with a jungle did Simon realize how fast his heart was hammering in his chest.

When Simon is closing up for the night, he notices a rose tucked underneath his windshield wipers with a note next to it that reads

inuyasha inspired au where soap’s a modern day highschool delinquent who falls down an old abandoned well and ends up meeting a demon dog boy in 15th century UK

changed the clothing for ghost to be one big cloak like thing instead a kimono, also black to match the “black dog” vibe but of course wouldn’t be ghost without some skeleton addition

He’s not him and he knows it by heart everytime, he looks at his daughter and sees her innocent smile. When he holds her in his arms, takes her to places and spoils her, he knows He’s not his father. Simon Riley will do everything in his power to keep her save and give her the best childhood he could

Like price taking Simon under his wing? Simon is a Sargent and moved to Prices ranks ?????

I imagine Simon was just like everyone else. He was just a regular soldier. An English lad. He was young and full of life, he had friends, he joked and laughed, he fucked around. He was quickly surpassing his peers due to his skills, but he still fit in with them.

Now imagine watching his change from Price's perspective. He recruited Simon because he saw his potential. He knew exactly what he was capable of. He knew what old Simon was like.

Which makes it more heartbreaking to see what he was turned into. Price stayed by his side, his mentorship a firm and guiding hand to keep Ghost relatively sane. He needed rigidity and discipline, and Price was happy to give it. Simon never stopped being a good man, but he just wasn't there anymore. Price was the one constant in Ghost's life before and after, so he developed a bit of a co-dependency.

Ghost distanced himself from everyone else. His eyes were lost for years. He no longer cracked a joke or a smile.

That is until a certain Sergeant came around.

And then Price could see it. He could see the man Ghost used to be start to glimmer through the cracks whenever he was with Soap. Price watches from a distance after all these years just one man breaking down Ghost to reveal Simon once again.

Simon Riley had dim eyes for years, turmoil churning behind them. But now, there is the slightest glow bringing them back to life.

So when Price sees them sneaking off into each other's rooms in the middle of the night, he's not fussed.

He's just happy to see Simon again.
