Kaz loving magic tricks as a boy and falling in love with a girl who can dissapear. Inej being told to find a boy who remembers her favorite flower, and falling in love with a boy who remembers her most important dreams. Jesper losing the one person who saw him as blessed and falling in love with a boy who sees him as even more than that. Wylan seeing magic in every mundane thing, and falling in love with a boy with magic in his veins. Nina growing up knowing she would always be targeted and falling in love with a boy who vows to protect her. Matthias losing his love for the world as a child and falling in love with a girl who loves even the simplest of pleasures.

I've been rewatching series 2 of yellowjacketas and listening to tma so now I've given myself the task of assigning fears to each of the main characters.

One of them is what they fear the most and the second is what they "feed on" / belong to. This is just my personal opinion so if you don't agree don't come for me.

Tai- The Web: scared of losing control to her trauma/ the other Tai and likes to take control of situations and be in control of her life, which is why she is so scared of being queer in society because she knows she can't control her life if people percieve in a way she doesn't like.

The stanger: despite not wanting the other tai to control her, she could use it to her advantage as she is very powerful and has an element of mystery and unkowing. Also the man with no eyes is very uncanny vally and other tai reminds me of the not them.

Van-The end: escapes death multiple times and seemingly comes to accept it when she finds out she has cancer, however when she does die she still tries to fight against it as she has become so adjusted to the idea of winning against death and continuing on. Also when she dies she enters some sort of afterlife and is forced to watch herself die so she can finally come to terms with it

The desolation: fire is a big motif for Van as she has many experiences with it like nearly dying in the fire when the plane crashes, nearly being burned alive, the cabin fire, the hallucinations and the smoke in Melissa's house and yet she survived everyone and even though she did die in the house, it wasn't because of the fire. In the hallucination she is watching the fire but isn't panicking or trying to put out and seems to almost be in control of it.

Shauna- The buried: I think she has more of a fear of suffocation and being trapped as she feels like she has limited opportunities when she is friends with Jackie and wants to be able to do things for herself. However this backfires as she ends up stuck in Jackie shadow for the rest of her life and is forever trapped with her. She is also stuck as a stay at home mum and married to Jeff which she is clearly unhappy about it and as she tries to find a way around it she still stuck in an endless loop of boredom. She also chokes in both of her hallucinations and one of them is Jackie suffocating her.

The flesh: the first one to initiate the cannibalism and the others wait for her to begin when they eat Jackie. She has a hunger and greed for more all the time especially when it's not accessible and she craves power. The things she wants the most however are just out of reach eg: Jackie and her baby so when she loses them she doesn't really have anything left to lose and let's her hunger take over herself

Sorry for the long rant, I'm going to make this into multiple parts because it's quite long already.
