A Ghost in His World

I miss you in moments you’d never recall,

In shadows of silence, in echoes that fall.

You walk in a world where I don’t exist,

While I drown in memories I can’t resist.

You’re probably laughing with someone brand new,

A girl with a smile that shines brighter than true.

She’s perfect, isn’t she? In all the right ways

Not haunted by nights or lost in a daze.

The one who believed but didn’t belong.

overlooked

I am soft in a world that craves steel,

A tender soul with love that feels real.

Sweetness laced in every word I speak,

Yet somehow, I’m invisible, quiet, meek.

I don’t scream for attention, I don’t beg to be seen,

But I dream of love, of something serene.

Not crumbs or games or a line in a queue,

But someone who sees me the whole of me, too.

They chase a harem, an ego parade,

Building towers of lust that will all someday fade.

I am not a trophy to sit on a shelf,

I’m a world of devotion, a home in myself.

Yes, I am bigger, but my heart is wide,

A soft place to fall, a storm I don’t hide.

But they skip me like pages they never read,

Too lost in their hunger to see where I bleed.

Why am I overlooked for the size of my skin,

When all of the beauty is buried within?

Is love just a myth for the ones they choose,

While I carry hope and the ache of the bruise?

Still, I stay kind in this world so cold,

A loving girl with a heart made of gold.

And maybe one day, someone will see

That love was always quietly waiting… in me.
