I was recently reminded of the Gina Truex masks my parents had on the wall growing up and I wanted to make something reminiscent of that. I'm extremely pleased with how it came out!

It was my honor to make a bound copy of @badlance 's What Hearts Ease Must Queens Neglect for the @renegadeguild's Fanfiction Writer Appreciation Day.

The Markenland stories have been my favorite for a long time and I'm so jazzed to have told badlance so. This was super fun and I hope I get to do it again next year.

Hi how are you? Is everything alright?

I apologize this is almost a month old, but in all fairness I don't know how to answer this.

Physically, fine. I have a lovely girlfriend and my family is all healthy.

Emotionally?

I'm tired. I'm tired of logging on here to only see people complaining about their different social media. I'm tired of seeing a third of my dashboard as filtered keywords or tags. I'm tired of writing fic for people who only participate in fandom for a month before jumping to a new one. I'm tired of bandwagon politics and the fact that no one knows how to say "I don't have an opinion on this because I don't know anything about it." I'm tired of walking out my front door or opening discord.

So I'm not. I'm doing exclusively things that make me happy. I'm the happiest I've ever been and I love not being here.

Recently I went to one of my favorite museums of all times, the Muskegon Art Museum, and discovered this new bronze by UK artist, Beth Carter, Minotaur Reading. When people think of the myth of the Minotaur it’s almost always in context of his violence, his lust, his impossible body. Here all that is swept away with this monstrous form reading a small golden book. This made me crazy happy to see.

oh my god it’s laika day everyone drop what you’re doing… we honour a little dog who was sent up into space 65 years ago today. she was found as a three year old stray mongrel wandering the streets of moscow. her ability to endure hardy conditions got her chosen as the candidate for a journey she was never meant to survive. she passed away seven hours after liftoff. I hope she died dreaming of chasing rabbits up in the stars I love u laika forever and ever
