Characters: Jensin, Basil

CW: talk of trauma, violence, pda, terminal illness/medical talk

Summary: Jensin and Basil are out on one of their nightly ventures in trying to suss out Whiteskull through the gangs of El Asilo. After ultimately failing, they move on to go sit around and wait for their next lead. In the midst of this, Basil confesses that he wants to go on a Date with Jensin, in which Jensin responds unexpectedly: there’s a lot of traumatic background that he’s left out about himself and he doesn’t know if he can have a Normal Human Relationship without getting that shit on the table. He speaks openly about his past, namely the stuff about him being a super soldier under forced employ by the government.

America is doing an absolutely terrible job of preparing for a holiday in a good, leisurely time. The people aren’t helping. I saw Christmas lights on someone’s house the other night and desperately wished I was dreaming.
