My Brief and spokesperson
For this brief I have been instructed to design a black shirt for a MAC makeup artist to wear at work however the twist is that I have to create it based around a VIVA GLAM spokesperson. My VIVA GLAM spokesperson is CHER form the 2022 collab she did with Saweetie called "Challenge accepted". To prepare for this brief I researched some black shirts that vary in different areas like silhouette, how fitted they are and arm length.

Viva Glam by MAC is a campaign dedicated to raising money and awareness on the struggles of the victims of the AIDs and HIV crisis that mainly attacked the LGBTQIA+ in the 90's. During this dreadful time no one knew what was happening, doctors could not figure out what was causing it to spread which pushed for them to isolate the queer people who were infected by the disease so they ended up dying not only slowly and painfully but also alone, scared with no idea of what is happening to them or how they are dying.
MAC chose to create VIVA GLAM in 1994 to help raise funds to research and cure this dreadful disease. At the same time a powerful, 6' 4", black drag queen was activising for gay rights. Glam saw this and chose RuPaul as the face of their campaign making them the VIVA GLAM girl for MAC. Since 1994 the VIVA GLAM campaign has managed to raise over 520 million dollars (or 402 million pounds). They raise the money by finding outrageous people who spend their time being allies to the minorities of the world and giving them a voice and produce a lipstick with them each a different shade then all the proceeds' said lipstick has made goes to the charity.
Over the years many celebrities like Lady Gaga, Elton John, Kim Petras, Boy George, Rihanna, Cher etc... have been the face to sell this product to help not only the cause but the fight.
Some good media to learn more about anything related to lgbtqia+ history would be "It's a sin", "But I'm a cheerleader", "Pride" " The death and life of Marsha P Johnson", "Falsettos, "Stonewall" and "Brokeback Mountain".
