Shoutout to Superman (2025) for making it incredibly fucking clear that Superman is for good people. He’s hope. He’s love. He’s supportive. He’s an immigrant. He supports Palestine. He loves animals. He protects children.

The movie is a light. If you’ve been feeling really depressed about the world lately I’d highly suggest watching Superman.

Honestly, I was just rage baiting to see what happens, but I appreciate your energy.

I liked Nimona though. Partially because of the art style, partially because of the chaotic action, and partially because I wish I could be a shapeshifter like them. Number one pick for superpowers, followed behind by omniliguality (being able to understand and be fluent in all languages.)

Some miscellaneous advice before I go to bed:

1. Never feel shame for wanting to care about others. You don’t have to care about everyone but wanting to care doesn’t mean you do care. Wanting it is the first step to doing it.

2. Who you are now is but a shadow cast against a wall. The you that you are now is fated to change as you move through life. Accept that and guide it towards who you want to be.

An idea for character: A non-verbal telepath hesitant to use their power, because unless the recipient is prepared there is a chance they’ll get overwhelmed with how it is presented.

Being cis straight while also being an ally has lead me to discover a lot of new forms of femininity to be attracted to. I’m not complaining, but it is a weird kind of fun.
