As an FR user
I can honestly say NOTHING makes me happier than when I see a dragon I’ve sold being given a bio, apparel, a familiar, and being integrated in the clan lore.
I mean just the BIGGEST, STUPIDEST grin splits my entire face when I see it happen

so uh. I got into Flight Rising, and i was told by my introductory advisor, @lucent-nargacuga, to brag about my starter dragon...
Say "Hi" to Luza-Kuto! Apparently she's special because of her colours syncing up? Her secondary and tertiary colours are both Lavender, and apparently you don't get to choose the tertiary.
#she's beautiful!#the color luck is great and she also has a cool ID!#repeating pattern and 5 digit palindrome

I know the joke is FR is the spreadsheet site, but I'll be entirely honest I do not use spreadsheets in anyway. I operate solely on whims and vibes, and if you put a perfectly thought out articulate spreadsheet in front of me, I will scream
#I cannot imagine using a spreadsheet in fr for anything other than community events or sitewide statistics#personal casual use? nah#I'll make the occasional list or note but that's it

My proposal for a site supported nest rental system:
Arcane NPC. Uses portal magic to send the eggs from one nest to element of your choice, eggs will hatch as that element. How it works -
- you have to have an empty nest to choose from
- using the nest w the NPC takes it away from being open in the nesting grounds
- dragons have same breeding eligibility requirements as normal nest
- instead of incubating, operates on a time counter like Baldwin and Arlo. Countdown time is the same as the amount of time to incubate a regular nest
- clutchwarmers work but the NPC will still have to sit out for the rest of the cooldown to ‘recover their magic’
- actually idk about that last one what does everyone think. I also think it would maybe be nice to have a maximum of two nests at a time actually instead of one
Anyway this way you don’t have to worry about going on an honor system when giving someone your dragons, gets around the problem of some elements being more popular to rent than others, and still maintains most dragons being born in the home element.

I think anyone who is saying Aequorin should be fired or that the staff supports genocide after posting a share week for a franchise while being unaware of its parent company being boycotted should actually go outside and touch some grass. I cannot stress it enough that this was an ill time celebration of a new video game that happened to be during a boycott and is NOT a deliberate attempt by staff to support genocide, and its terrible to see how many people claim its the latter, not the former.

Skins & Accents: Never be unpleasantly surprised by resizing ever again
I'm making this as a separate post in addition to a reblog reply, in the hopes more people will see it.
So, you've worked on a skin and you've poured your heart into it, worked at a high resolution, and rendered all the nice details... and then you resize to 350 x 350 px and half your details disappear, others look pixellated, and some things that looked great at full size are now way too cluttered.
Wouldn't it be nice to have a way to avoid this pain entirely, all while working at full size and never having to zoom out while you're in the flow to check on the details?
Well, I've got the hottest tip for you.
Start by upscaling your canvas to 2800 x 2800 px. When zoomed out to 12.5%, the canvas will appear as 350 x 350 px. You can also choose other resolutions, the important bit is that one of those resolutions results in an image appearing as 350 x 350 px when zoomed out at one of the default percentages (50%, 33%, 25%, 12.5% etc). We are not going to zoom out on the working file, however.
(This is my accent Thought we had a deal, which you can find in my accent shop)
Then it's magic time. This works in Clip Studio Paint and Photoshop, I don't know about other programs.
Window > Canvas > New Window in CSP:
Or Window > Arrange > New Window for [file name] in Photoshop:
This will open the exact same image in a different tab. Click the tab, hold to drag and it will float above your working image. Zoom out to 12.5%, grab the bottom right corner (it will appear where the green arrow is) to scale down the excess frame:
And voila, you will have a live version of your accent at its print size, regardless of how much you zoom in in the larger version:
Yes, that's right, live version, it will update as you draw! You can tell right away if a detail you add will show up at print size or not, if it will be readable or not.
Never be surprised by resizing again!

i had a dream they revealed the wind ancient and everyone was pissed because nothing about it looked like wind at all. but staff kept insisting like "its wind, maybe you dont see it but it is"
i tried to illustrate it to the best of my memory
it had like, a kelp mane and tail, a sprout on its head, a big turtle shell and a tree on its back.
people kept yelling that it was earth or nature, but the staff just kept going "no its wind. do you like it?"
