"you didn't expect me to be here? honestly i didn't expect you to ever leave hades. i'm shocked. it's a lot better here, i'm happy to be away from our parents. plus keon's here, so i'm here." he does miss cerberus though. he was more of a parent to him than his actual parents.

evangeline's eyes widened at the redhead's words, completely in shock as she processed. " really ? oh thank you !! " she exclaimed, utter joy overtaking her. she was excited, more than she'd been in a while. her mother would be so proud-- at least she hoped so. sometimes eva wasn't quite sure if she was making her mother proud with her life choices, but she sure hoped so. she wanted to live up to all of the expectations that snow had placed on her.

october listened in awe. her voice was amazing, so captivating, and so beautiful. october knew right away she would be offering her the role. she was speechless for a moment before finally smiling and speaking. "wow. your voice is so beautiful. i don't need anytime to think about it. you've got the part. you deserve it."

" del planned to steer clear just in case, but she wasn't sure how much of it she'd actually believed. growing up with her mother, she'd been hesitant to believe things. gothel lied a lot. though she hated the preppy princes and princesses, delilah was more comfortable being in auradon rather than under her mother's roof. time at home on the isle had always been spent doing gothel's bidding all while the woman fed her lies that unfortunately delilah had spent years believing.

"i guess it's best to avoid all that in case it does end up being true. " del shrugged, shoving her hands in her pockets. " i wouldn't want to be the unlucky soul that gets hurt because i didn't listen. " she was smart enough to know that you avoid things like that even if it were fake. the worst that could happen while steering clear was you just don't go there for a while. if it turned out to be true and you didn't steer clear, well you just made your own grave.

" aye, " he agreed. the royalty of auradon was just as annoying as he expected them to be. they either cowered at his presence or stared like he was some side show freak. sometimes he indulged the former for his own amusement, but he detested the latter because he would sooner cut their throats than play their fool.

" 'aven't spoken tae 'im recently. " not since the barrier closed behind him when he moved to auradon. " but ah remember him goin' on about et before. ah thought it was more nonsense because he was drunk, but et's the only time ah've ever heard 'im be afraid. " that was why harry fully intended to steer clear of those crimson waters.

" et makes sea folk go mad and ye don't want tae meet such ah creature unless yer plannin' fer et tae be yer last meetin'. "

eva let him adjust her grip, beaming up at him as she nodded along to his words, focusing on keeping it steady. " got it, " the brunette watched as he pulled the cord, not daring to let out a breath, afraid that it would fail if she did. when the net held, eva let herself let out a soft breath and slowly pulled her hands away, hoping it wouldn't fall as she stepped back.

" yeah, any time, really! if you ever need help with any of this, just call me. i'm more than willing to give a hand, " even if she wasn't the strongest, she found an extra set of hands was always better than none.

evangeline listened to his question, nodding as her eyes met his for a moment before she glanced away. " of course, i have plenty of time, " she admitted in a soft voice. plenty of time to avoid the anxiousness that awaited her back home.

Sol stepped over, adjusting her grip with a light touch — careful, but confident. His fingers brushed hers, just for a second, before settling the post where it needed to be.

“Yeah… that’s good. Hold it like that,” he said, voice low and even. “Steady, but not stiff. Just needs to feel like it belongs there.”

He crouched again, pulling the cord tight. Didn’t look up right away.

“Don’t have to tell me the whole thing,” he said after a moment. “Whatever you’re runnin’ from… I figure it’ll wait. Most things do.”

A final pull. The net held this time.

“But you bein’ here?” He stood, wiped his hands on the back of his jeans, then looked at her — not pressing, just honest. “That says plenty.”

He gave her a small nod — more gesture than smile, but there was warmth in it. The kind that stuck around.

“Thanks for helpin’. Not many would’ve stopped.”

A beat, then — quieter, almost casual, but not indifferent:

“You, uh… got time to walk the edge with me? Just makin’ sure no other lines slipped.”

" hayden wouldn't speak to her fellow vks that way, well not as harshly, but making these auradon kids upset was one of their favorite past times now. it kept them entertained watching the privileged prisses who were used to getting what they wanted get denied of something.

evangeline took a moment or two to warm up her vocal chords before she began to sing a song that her mother had sang to her when she was a young girl. her voice echoed through the room as she sang full of emotion, putting everything that she had into it. eva really wanted this part, wanted to be cast in the production in general. she'd missed performing, and this may have been her way back in to doing so. once she was done singing, eva gave a small smile.
