hi yall

this blog has been way too inactive for way too long, and it's been just as long since i last read one punch man.

as they say...life happened (and by Talos, it did). but i wanna pick up where i left off cause i have been missing opm a whole lot lately. dunno what's going on in the manga side of things (last thing i remember is genos and saitama being on a beach and salvaging the remnants of their household items...and rover was there too i think).

anyhow i feel like re-reading the webcomic, I wanna see ONE's scrawny ass 2009 artstyle again /(T_T)\ it gives me life (and also because I saw there were new webcomic updates). expect some memes, meta and other ramblings.

I think one of the biggest reasons I enjoy jjba is because I envy this level of confidence and sincerity in storytelling. See, I would not have just said something as fucking stupid as "bullet-deflecting oil." I would've come up with some kind of Watsonian bullshit magic-science explanation that at least squared with the logic of the story instead of just saying "Oh, it's an oil that deflects bullets" and moving on to the next thing. But that is not because I am a better storyteller, no, quite the opposite. It's because I'm a coward.

once again a prime example of: everything happens so much.

the thing about jujutsu kaisen is it really is as gay as everybody says and it is equal opportunity about it. yeah whatever the hell satosugu and itafushi got goin on but at the same time nobara’s backstory is like she was plucked out of an angsty yuri and accidentally put into a shonen. then two twin sisters who hate each other are fighting over her. megumi is telling yuji he never once regretted saving yuji and satoru is calling suguru his “one and only” meanwhile nobara talks about her literal ring of keys moment as a kid and thinking of her childhood best friend in her final moments. a BL and a GL at the same time we just don’t have time to unpack all of that bc bitches are dying left and right
