We as a group chose several locations to film our production and that’s why we would like to share it with you!
First of all, we recorded in a house because of the way it fits the scenery and because we thought the interior balcony fit the storyboard effectively. Moving on, we decided to film in Vanity club in Málaga because we knew the owners we talked to them and they agreed and let us film there. This means that there was NO real alcohol or drugs.
For the landscape we simply filmed short shots of our home city and we chose specific places we thought matched the story.

As we all know having an efficient marketing plan is fundamental for a successful outcome, that’s why we made sure we promoted our project as much as we could.
First of, we had clear who our target audience was so we chose our school as the perfect place to promote our film. We stuck posters in strategic places to catch the attention of the students. In these, we linked our sites such as tumblr and Instagram so people could also follow us there.
The strategic places were; the school entrance where everyone will see it first thing in the morning, the dinning room, where every single pupil and teacher go so everyone will see it and in the media room.
Tumblr media
For our social media we made use of synergy by contacting people and collaborating with them. This was beneficial for us because this way other people from different places would get to know our product. Moreover, we made our Instagram account entrepreneurial and we tried to keep up with our followers by interacting with them as much as possible with things like inquests and live videos. We also updated some of our progress there.

For the promoting of the film, we also made a Trailer which we realised 5 days before the actual sequence. We had very positive positive feedback from it and we achieved a lot of hype and enthusiasm towards our project.

We took off with the idea of disappearing from society. We have a deep thought that the society we live in is really immature and we are taught since we are little that we have to do the things that are socially accepted and we came out with the idea of an idealisation of a group of people that think out of that box. Nowadays we think that we are the most intelligent and perfect society but in terms of what a human being is capable of doing we aren’t even in diapers.
Tumblr media
Instead of making it so dramatic we decided to mix it with something that we are more familiar with, partying. From our point view, partying gives you the feeling of freedom that can’t be achieved through other means. We thought about chaos and wildness and the immediately the first thing that popped up into our heads was the film Projext X.
Tumblr media
As we started taking inspiration from films, we took inpiration from the plot of Pretty Little Liars and used the whole faking death idea.

Hey! Here I present the trailer we made for our film opening. We used different scenes, even deleted ones, in order to make it original and leave it full of enigmas that will lead to the audience wanting to see the full film.
The trailer took us about a day to make as we already had the footage and just had to edit and find the appropriate soundtrack and what text to use.
We, as a group, have also officially opened our YouTube channel so go and check that too.

Hope you enjoy!

Yesterday, we had our last day of re-filming for the final edit and, although our lead had no voice because of laryngitis and it was freezing, we managed to film all of the parts we needed. Tomorrow Tuesday we will start editing the final edit which should be finished soon and ready for all of you to see! Remember, follow us on Instagram and keep updated with my or our group blog for behind the scenes and updated content!

Here is a screenshot of the new instagram page, spotlightproductionsofficial ! As you can see, the borders are all present and have the same colour so as to have a similar theme. I used the “Giant Square” app to make a giant banner style photo out off our promotional poster. This will capture the visitor’s attention and engage them, making them want to find out more about the production.

For the group blog, I was in charge of designing the page itself so I chose to format a theme similar to the one I have in this blog, which I find very appealing, and change it to make it adapt to our ‘Production Company’. I chose a pastel orange-salmon colour as it transmits warmth without being too harsh to the eyes. Furthermore, it related back to the spotlight colour, which tends to be yellow-orange. Lastly, once I did this, I created an Instagram page with borders the same colour so as to have a more appealing and homogeneous look that was consistent throughout the whole production.

Hello everyone! So, first things first: my name is Alex and I love creating content. Be it a piece of writing, be it a small film - anything.
You can guess why I chose to do Media Studies, right? Yep, because of all of the creative thought process that is needed and because you gotta admit it is pretty cool. You tell anyone you are studying Media and they immediately think you are the next Steven Spielberg - it is great!
About myself, well, I am 16 years old and a Scorpio, born in November. I don’t believe in gender and I am all for equality and minority empowerment.
What I look to transmit in the things I make is a social message and, most importantly, to transmit a certain type of emotion to whoever watches or reads what I do.
Hope you enjoy!
-Alex

Various posters were also released and stuck in movie theatres, bus stops and places where they received a lot of visibility.

Where and when was Guardians of the Galaxy released and in what cinemas?
It was released in July 2014 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood
What formats was it available in?
In 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D
Who is the target audience?
The main target audience of this film are mainstreamers. The film is very universal as its wide range of characters allows a number of personalities and era’s to appreciate the film.
I would say that GOTG isn’t actually aimed at a specific gender- typically films have a certain vibe around them which highlight the target gender but in this case there is a both a really powerful female and male characters and many comedic/action moments which can be appreciated by any gender.
The age group which would most appreciate this film is probably 10-16 however this is a family film so adults will most likely enjoy GOTG especially with some of the comedic moments.
The films is also purely for entertainment- it is exciting and action packed. The audience can forget about their life's and focus on the film for a sense of escapism. It is a- have you on the edge film- which proposes the question of will the heroes work together to defeat the villain?
