Project Mediafryer - About GoS

Hey y'all, I thought I'd write a lil update on how on the archiving operation for Garden of Shadows is going.

Let's get one thing out of the way first: we are trying our utmost best to save as much as we can. But as you may know, Garden of Shadows has been around for a very long time, which means there's a humongous amount of cc tucked away in every corner of the forum. This makes archiving the mediafire cc on GoS extremely draining to do.

At this moment we have too few hands (it's mostly I, Fir3princ3ss, @asimplevampire and @simnostalgia ) doing the archiving. It's very slow going and at this pace we will lose a significant part of the cc on GoS to the Purge.

This is why I'm reaching out to ask y'all for help. Please follow the link to this Spreadsheet and pick a section to work on. If enough people help, we can save it all.

Please start as far back as you can. Creators from 2019 may still be around, but those from 2010 may not. When you're done, upload the files to a file host of your choosing and put the link in the Spreadsheet too. This way we can avoid any overlap.

I moved the Charming’s to Mr Korembi! Originally I planned for them to live in one of the more suburban districts but they don’t have constant snow and wouldn’t live next to the bunny slopes so decisions were made.

Being a game dev and an active member of Simblr for...so many years is hard for a MULTITUDE of reasons, But chiefly the biggest one is that at my job I already make art for games for 9+ hours a day and then I usually draw for myself for about 1-3 hours a week and that despite this I always get SO MUCH FOMO and want to create CC for Sims and I have to remind myself constantly that If all I do is make art for games even in my off-time I will explode into a big ball of stress

IT’S BEEN A HOT MINUTE!

With the pandemic, stage 4 lockdown etc. happening i’ve just been playing my game and not engaging online much. It’s been nice to play with pixel people during a super stressful time.

The GraniteyFalls Legacy heirs Template!

Good Morning Simmers! After A L O T of requests in some discord servers i’m part of i’m uploading my current template for displaying my legacy challenge heirs!

This download includes a .psd file that contains this template segmented into all layers you’ll need to create your own legacy heir template! The typefaces are Axis and Futura and should come pre-installed with Adobe CC 2020 otherwise your program will replace them with other default type. 

It goes without saying that you are more than welcome to edit this as you see fit for your own tastes, change the type, colours, whatever you want to suit your style or simblr!
