If someone shit talks their friends behind their back then you are not an exception. They shit talk you too. Don't be fooled that you're somehow special or unique, they talk the same way about you that they do about others. I really wish someone told me this a long time ago, I needed to hear it. Glad that person is out of my life now, too bad their other friends are stuck with them. Also, while we are in fact animals, a lot of people feel the need to separate humans from animals. Humans see themselves as "better", "more advanced", or "more intelligent" than animals, so if you compare humans to animals chances are it's going to offend them rather than make them understand that the human mind is complex and harbors infinite different experiences. Like, yes, it's super interesting to learn about queer animals but conservatives aren't going to think so lmao

One argument against the idea that homosexuality and polyamory and transgenderism are "unnatural" that consistently bothers me is people doubling down on the appeal to nature fallacy rather than rejecting it altogether. You do not have to bring up that lions are polygamous by nature or that clownfish can change sexes you can just tell them that natural does not mean inherently good

If you don't know what the biggest red flag is when it comes to polyphobic (polyamphobic? Idk what the word is- people who hate polyamorous people) "I'm monogamous af!! Guys! Guys!!! I'm so monogamous!!! I just loooove being monogamous! It's the best! Did I mention I'm monogamous??
