Hey, just to let you know that I'm right now on chapter 29 of Ancient Mars for like the 3rd time LOL, seriously thanks for writing it, its been hell of a couple weeks and reading it before going to bed really helps me disconnect from the clusterfuck that is 2020.

this is such a lovely message.... the 3rd time wow. I’m glad you enjoy it so much. I’ve been getting a lot of messages recently about people either finding the fic for the first time or making their 3rd, 4th or even 5th read of it all. and when i say recently, i mean like.. within the past week and idk how this has all kicked off again but i’m glad everyone is still happy with it! and ofc, giving you 5 minutes of peace of the burning skip fire that is our world right now.

okay first of all tysm i’m so glad you enjoyed it, but also please always write. it’s so good to write, let things out, explore and be creative - you can never measure against someone else bc your own stuff is just as special and just as beautiful bc it all comes down to the effort and the fact you even write in the first place.

You just have a really calming yet lively writing style, and your character interactions and developments are so natural and thought out, I really enjoy it. I always come back to your writing when I need a pickmeup or just a distraction from life. Thank you so much for your hard work and creative energy spent on your writing, it always makes my day! 😊

Happy Belated Fanfiction Writers Appreciation Day!

I had no spoons to do this the other day, but fanfiction is such a huge part of and legitimate joy in my life that I need to acknowledge that.

I am fandom old y’all!  I’ve been involved in fandom and reading fanfiction since 1994.  I’ve been in dozens of fandoms and read thousands and thousands of fanfictions.  My life has been made richer every day by fanfiction authors and the blood, sweat, and tears that they pour into their work.  

I follow many tremendous authors on here - this is only a small sampling of the wonderful gifts that they have put out into the world.  I had to force myself to choose only one from each author.  

Thank you all so much for everything you do - for making me laugh and cry, for dreaming up new and exciting ways for me to fall in love with these characters all over again.  I love you all, thank you so much for sharing your remarkable talent with us!

..........It's August. Attempt #3 begins.

Realised late on last night/ this morning that it’s October (I knew this) but that means after halloween it’s basically Christmas + You know what this means!!!

just realised that at 1:45:~ when mark finds out he needs to scrap 5 ton from the mav and he @’s nasa like ‘Are you f-----g kidding me’ that mindy is the one at the computer at that point, reading the message. 

does this mean she already had the chance/ability/permission to send messages on the comms channel to mark or is she just reading it?

i think the martian is possibly one of the weirdest films to know word for word but here we are

it’s so nice that martinez is the one to write the first message to mark from the hermes. it’s so normal for mark, it’s good to have soft roasts from martinez keeping him sane. plus, you can see lewis standing beside martinez rolling her eyes (trying not to cry) but looking at him like be nice to your brother! 

bet mark reread that message more than a few times
