Hey, just to let you know that I'm right now on chapter 29 of Ancient Mars for like the 3rd time LOL, seriously thanks for writing it, its been hell of a couple weeks and reading it before going to bed really helps me disconnect from the clusterfuck that is 2020.

this is such a lovely message.... the 3rd time wow. I’m glad you enjoy it so much. I’ve been getting a lot of messages recently about people either finding the fic for the first time or making their 3rd, 4th or even 5th read of it all. and when i say recently, i mean like.. within the past week and idk how this has all kicked off again but i’m glad everyone is still happy with it! and ofc, giving you 5 minutes of peace of the burning skip fire that is our world right now.

That’s the way I’m leaning as well. Between the two of them, I think Soren is more likely to turn on their dad. Before, I would have said Claudia, but after that finale, it’s clear that she’s taken a dark turn, I’m not sure she could go against their dad.

I think they are vegan, the elves at least, and for example Sarai explicitly asked if the titan was a sentient intelligent being when they discussed that. Probably most people wouldn’t have problem with squishing a few bugs but using a sentient titan like that yeah not cool

Yeah I was legit asking if they were because I don’t remember Rayla eating any meat in S1 and all she had on her was like berry juice or whatever. And, like I said, if they are vegan than their position would be more consistent than it feels to me otherwise.*

And not only did Sarai consider whether it was sentient, she considered whether it was endangered. I think that’s pretty judicious considering a whole kingdom full of people were on the line.

*Although I can’t imagine the dragons are also vegan. And they’re chill with the dragons. But I guess if they’re obligate carnivores then they have no choice whereas humans are omnivores, but I’m digressing at this point.

Ed Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist because he’s honestly one of the best characters I’ve ever seen in any piece of fiction- like from an aspiring writer’s perspective, he’s just such a well executed and brilliant character. And then Kyoko Mogami from Skip Beat (my obscure fave manga lol), because she is just so incredibly three dimensional as a character, she’s so well developed and complex that she feels like a real person.
