Unfortunately, after much deliberation, Pepe Valencia has withdrawn from illustrating Volume 3 of Grinidon.

As much as he would love to continue working on it, his busy schedule simply makes it impossible for him to do so.

I regret that this is the case, but I have nothing but the deepest respect for Pepe and I completely understand his situation. Fortunately for all of us, he will still continue to create pin-ups and possibly even covers for the series, but again, he is regrettably unable to continue with the book.

After speaking with him and the rest of the team, we decided to start the issue over with Erwin J. Arroza at the helm - the very talented artist behind Volumes 1 and 2 of Grinidon.

Erwin has already created several pages this week, some of which may be seen below, so we know we are in very good hands.

Everything should still be finished on time as Volume 3 is not the 200+ page goliath that Volume 2 was, but we will unfortunately have to delay book 4 until a later date.

This means we will again be looking to hire an artist in the near future, so if you are interested, please contact us at grinidon@gmail.com with any information and artwork you would like to include.

If you have contacted us in the past, I would encourage you to reach-out to us again as the situation has changed.

Ideally, I would like to fill the immediate position, as well as another slot sometime down the road. Our goal is to still have three artists working simultaneously so we can release an equal number of volumes each year – as this is a very long series and will take years to complete.

If you like, we would also keep your information on file for any future endeavors we may have, or may recommend you to projects that other creators have going on – which I have done frequently in the past.

Regarding where we’re at now, Volume 2 and everything else from the Kickstarter will be sent as soon as possible. We’re virtually drowning in merchandise and shipping materials, but there are still some items we’re waiting for.

Going forward, we will continue to share images from books 2 and 3 on Kickstarter and social media, and we’ll be back on track for Volume 4 before too long.

We take great pride in the quality of our work and couldn’t be more passionate about what we do. Being an Indy publisher isn’t easy, but we love it and are 100% in this for the long-haul.
