“Fine,” Sirius dismissed easily, and James huffed out a disbelieving breath.

“Yeah no, I’m starting to think we might have to strike that word out from our shared vocabulary, mate. I’m pretty sure you don’t know what it means.”

“Like you do?” Sirius sneered.

James flicked him between the eyebrows, the expression melting away into stunned surprise. “Shut up. Let me look.” 

Sirius stood still for a moment under his ministrations, then suddenly tensed when James reached for the sleeve of his left hand. Before James knew it, he was pulling away, his expression unreadable.

“Time’s running out, we should go.”

He moved, but James’ hand shot out, grabbing his elbow. “Hey, not so fast, I’m not done.”

“I said I’m fine.”

He tried to jerk out of the hold, but James didn’t let him, fingers tightening ever so slightly. The only thing it did was bring them closer together, the space between them shortening.

You can't see Sirius's 'JP' medallion here because of his guitar strap, but he's wearing it! Oh, and did I mention he's left-handed? He can still play right-handed, which is how he keeps stealing James's guitars, but when he converts them, James knows he's not getting them back (and he doesn't care ❤️).

Recently I read Objects Permanence by @nyxunderwood , and it's a great weekend

This whole awesome story is filled with scenes, which were forever imprinted in my mind as evidence of James and Sirius' mutual love, but I liked one scene especially

The way James brought Sirius sprig of lavender, and Sirius wove it into his hair, was filled with infinite tenderness (and vibe of an old elderly couple that I adore in the prongsfoot's dynamics)

So I couldn't resist asking TeFa* (ac: tefa_art_ (on X)) to visualize the scene in which Sirius, with a cup of coffee in his hands, in an old school sweater and lavender in his hair, watches his beloved fly

And I really wanted to thank Nyx_21 for creating this beautiful story of love and devotion

Something new from Michelle (ac: michyqw (on Inst and X))

I ordered and received this art a few months ago, but I didn't post it earlier on ao3, as it doesn't relate to any of my stories, and it would be a sin to hide it further

James is strong enough to drag Sirius away (to Quidditch practice, to run through the forbidden forest, to the kitchens when he gets hungry, etc), when he's too lazy and refuses to move

He doesn't know yet that Sirius will follow him anywhere

Sirius pretends to resist James' requests, curious about what James will do (in fact, he knows that James will just throw him over his shoulder and drag him away, and Sirius is waiting for exactly that)

He doesn't know yet that James is ready to carry him in his arms every day, even if there is no reason for it

Sirius being the first/only one to escape Azkaban on his own + infiltrating the Gryffindor common room with a knife + kidnapping three underage kids including Harry Potter right under Dumbledore's nose ... the wizarding world is VERY lucky he was on the good side because he put all of Voldemort's loser Death Eaters to shame

💯 He was legitimately terrifying in PoA and I love that for him
