i feel like we as a digital society have forgotten the important rules of the internet
Don't feed the trolls
Never give out personal information
Anonymity is the best defense
Don't click suspicious links
Don't click popups and ads
Just because it's written doesn't mean it's true
You are responsible for your own experience
There is porn of everything, act accordingly

Things in the works!
I am working on setting up a ko-fi to sell some coloring pages of my art. I am currently getting the art to be good clean lines, and making sure they print well.
While I work in a variety so sizes, part of this is trying to get it so they print on standard printer sized paper without any quality loss.
I am hoping to have some fun weirdcore coloring pages, as well as abstract designs and all the other things I like to draw. Part of it is figuring out categories that go together.
Im not dead, I'm just busy and overwhelmed with life. lol.
#work in progress#coloring pages#i work really slow#also feb and march are the worst months for me mental health wise#so getting anything done is like trying to climb a mountain with no gear

Dragon egg dice bag

I made this cute little dice bag from Nic’s Knits
its a really fun pattern, and super cute.
I made it with Premier Wool-Free Brights, which is a bit stretchy. Where I live there is a salvage store called Mardens, where I get some discount yarn. and this was 2 for a dollar. so whenever I see it I buy it because I love the color way. But I never know quite what to make. This pattern is perfect for it.

I know it’s not hard to point out reactionaries hypocrisy when it comes to like safe spaces or hug boxes or whatever but genuinely how much of an echo chamber do you have to exist in for you to think this is a reasonable thing to say

If I die, who would know
Outside my small little sphere
Their tears the only memory of me
My life, but a wrinkle
In the fabric of time
Almost completely unseen
I do not fear death
Violent or no,
Because once I’m gone
I’ll feel nothing
But I fear the tears of my loved ones
Their loss and sorrow
Are what weigh heavily on me

me when i spend a long time drawing something that really does not look good at all and is honestly too ugly to want to share with anybody but i still recognize that it was worth the time and effort because i still gained practice and experience from it that will contribute toward improving my skills
[ID: a doodle of a person slumped over a drawing of a flower, giving a thumbs up with big wet eyes and a pained expression.]

Modern medicine is a miracle. Harrison would have lived in today’s time. I say take the chance, be bold. We have cures for pneumonia and frostbite.
But in all seriousness, as someone from Maine, it makes sense to not spend long times outside in those temps. It’s dangerous.
So basically, everybody is trying to make this seem like an act of bravery, and not simply one of safety. I see no issue with deciding to change plans because it's going to be dangerously cold out. That's smart.
But I bet you that some people in the MAGA movement (not to mention its leader) think that "Ooh, it's chilly" will be seen as weakness by some, and be actively mocked by the opposition (which it is). Not to mention all the people who bought tickets (I had no idea you had to pay to stand on the grass and watch the thing on TV - Did he invent that? Sounds like a dodge he'd think up) and spent money to see the inauguration that we're seeing get interviewed.
So they feel the need to back-handedly imply that there might be this OTHER reason that they had to bring it indoors. He's not afraid of the cold, he's trying to keep you all safe because of this nonexistent, but MAYBE could be Thing that they might have heard about.
I went and looked it up - the last time they brought the ceremony indoors was 1985 - it was 7 degrees out.
Who got sworn in that day?
You calling Reagan a bitch?
...ok, yeah, but you know what I'm trying to say.

Up on my medium page a look at Americas History of Sex Education and the Abstinence Only Program
As a parent, and the current state of reproductive health, I think knowing how some of this has come about as helpful in raising my kid.
Abstinence only education is not good policy, as it leaves kids, both boys and girls, with limited resources and limits their ability to make healthy decisions when they grow up.
But this education goes beyond just teaching kids to abstain, it has deep ties to the parent choice movement as well as how we shape what a “family” looks like to younger generations.
