My friends had been aggressively shaking me to play Clair Obscur for months, and now that I finally finished it
a) I have been put through the gauntlet of all emotions
b) now it's my turn to aggressively shake the remainder of my friends to play this because I DESPERATELY must discuss, but it's impossible to talk about this game without spoilers
My favorite game since Elden Ring. My favorite RPG since....Disco Elysium, probably? My favorite Final Fantasy (in all but name) since Shadowbringers. I have so much to say about it. Mostly positive! But several complaints and questions as well

Hot damn. Clair Obscur might be one of the greatest games I've played this decade. The characters, the themes, the art direction...this is the Final Fantasy I've actually been wanting for like 15 years. But French

me already dying from overwork, signing up to volunteer for even more things "You know what would save me? more work"
#not art#sorry for all the not art#I will actually start dying of depression if I don't have enough externally motivated tasks to keep pushing me forward#but on the other end I start imploding from stress and the resulting burnout and illness hurts me and my productivity in the long run#but I'm so good at overcommitting myself#not so great at gauging my limits! I'm basically booked out a month solid and three days into August I get an eye infection and can barely open my eyes? wtf how does this even happen and who cursed me
#not art#actually confused because I don't think I've ever gotten an eye infection as an adult#I take public transit but I wash my hands? I've been taking it for my entire life too#has the overwhelming stress of 10+ hour days in the lab followed by coming home to grind out art for money killed my immune system#maybe
