Since I'm a big Godwyn nerd there's another small oddity I'd like to point out: Godwyn shares zero common symbolism with the Golden Lineage and it is never directly spelt he was born into it
Even Gostoc has a unique two-headed axe ornament on his model
On top of that, Godrick only mentions Godfrey and so does Kenneth Haight
All axe-like Death Knight weapons are one-headed, the cape has an emblem with a hawk and a one-sided axe. Best you have is the Death Prince's skirt and bracelets being Godfrey's cape and armor texture On top of that for whatever reason Messmer gets a statue of mama holding him and Godwyn his "godwynwetnurse.npc"
#ok it's generally implied by uuuuuh#his name and#and that's it#But you have Ghiza Gideon Maleigh Moore and Rogier so the naming stuff is uhmmm#just as Messmer never really having a dad#My bet would be either earning the demigod title via Dragoncult thing or being related to the nameless stormlord-king#There's also the Shaded Castle but I'm not dragging anyone into these depths

Returning to The Bird while also thinking about the out-of-nowhere thorn halo of the Death Knights, a symbol that isn't really associated with Wywyn in the base game.
Usually that stuff at first represents exiled fractions if you think about thorns alone... But a thorny circle appears as a symbol of a loyalty specifically. So instead of going with Sun Halo = Godwyn imo it is more logical to apply Thorn Halo = Loyalty (even if outside of Golden Order principles)

Wanted to revisit the Godwyn design and decide on a crest or embroidery on the cape but idk it just doesn't make sense

Big fan of his knights drawing the most dogshit deathbird (?) imaginable and then killing themselves

If you draw a group of nightfarers and Executor is depicted as “hehe puppy” your tap water will start to smell stale and fishy your fruits and legumes will begin to rot early and all you touch will show early signs of decay

The second one's striking minimalism is charming (by Mola Ram)
Looking up stuff for One More artbook illustration and Indian art (miniatures? Feel free to beat me up for not knowing the correct term) having lightning traditionally depicted as something serpentine/whip-like is so cool

Listened how Tchaikovsky’s May is supposed to sound… Terrifying. I can and will learn that.

the average person with bad taste can be into some extremely banal garbage but when you get close enough to someone with otherwise good taste that they start a recommendation by going off on a preamble about how they don't necessarily recommend it you know you're seconds away from hearing about some real torturously wretched dogshit

Hejaz; Bani Saad. Saudi Arabia. Scanned from the book Femmes d'Arabie by Thierry Mauger. More on my scans tag.
Vibrant threads weave geometry across hems and cuffs, along side panels, backs, and the shin of pantaloons, crowning headdresses with splendour. The bodice of the Bani Saad women is often left unadorned, creating space for layers of silver jewelry and ornate belts.

Fell in love with the case the moment I saw its genuine wood. This with a warm amber hue light… The angle of the borders of the front side are So 🙏🙏😔
Ordered the magic tech cube yesterday, earliest it’ll arrive will be start of September. Had to replace the cool memory with another since it was out of stock
Behold, the Demon that will run my DS3 on mid settings:

#Totally not to match the piano#The videocard will have a hideous green light stripe but it was a compromise on so many levels I’ll just slap insulating tape on top
