i really do enjoy the what - if idea that the comic ran with that gwen survived but in result of her survival, ultimately her and peter couldn't be together no matter what

she   didn't   understand   the   game   that   was   played.   the   one   of   cat   and   mice   that   often   ended   in   destruction   and   death.           how   could   this   cruelty   exist?           the   discrimination   against   the   mutants.   against   genetically   advanced   beings   whose   only   goal   was   to   protect   innocent   lives   against   those   who   sole   purpose   in   the   world   was   to   commit   heinous   acts.   so   much   hatred,   ugliness   -   foulness   existed   in   this   world.           it   didn't   make   sense.           then   again,   you   were   raised   in   a   world   that   was   shielded   prior   to   a   certain   death.           REST   IN   PEACE,   GWENDOLYNE   MAXINE   STACY.   REBORN   GHOST   -   SPIDER.           captain   stacy,   the   protector   that   you   once   were.   a   saint   that   once   existed   in   real   time.           did   his   methods   leave   her   naive   to   the   world?           maybe.           but   it   had   also   left   her   kind   after   all   this   time.
