In the ruins of a fever dream I saw
The tiniest spark of a half-burnt smile
On my arms the innocent weight of a doe
On my eyes, her judgement left to beguile
The earth aptly shakes to the irony
The unjust desire laughs in vile
And the heaven in it's awful candour
Parts to hurl the air asunder
Lights of brilliance, the wailing thunder
Erupt in divine vermillion splendour
And whence the carrion flavours on the
Ruins, the deliciousness under
The fallen doe, to me, who'd shunned her
Bids her farewell to my wonder
And once the leaves float to the ground
The dreams shall never utter her sound
And the seething agony whenever I ponder
Wherever I wander, if ever I'm bonded
Would bury my heart in a soulless mound

lips of merlot
the muted face
shiver to the dulcet tone of a bleeding sonata
a heart of love sincere and mild
now of pitch black silence
a silence of a woman with a stillborn child
and even then,
the beauty of that violence
lessens my wit to whimper
to a thought to lie on
and the dreams that danced around the eternal flame
scream to my meditating ears
to reach for her transparent tears
then carry the cross to die on

Found my one desire
As I trod the stranger’s pass
And I went on fishing
For a hope that would last
Hang the dirt in the wind
And split the flame apart
Swaying naked in a vision
My excuse for a heart
Of vain ambition
She failed to depart
Was a mother in remission
In a bloody repetition
The artist and the art
She was the fruit and the tree
The serpent and eve
She was the earth of the greenest of gardens I’ve seen
She was the mist of a morn
And the dust newborn
She was the muse of my songs that I poured all my wrongs
When a century goes
The lonely primrose
Shall forever sway by the side of my corpse

I'm bombarded with flowers
the broken lute at my end
then I'd throw it to the horizon
and help me god!
the blue hyacinths
choke me till I repent
repent until I'm dead
I've never lived before
and while I'm napping
the minute grasses, the saplings
would look at me and scream
'to the heavens, god-speed! my kin'
I'll cry for I miss my shadow
to the Holy city in my head
I would finally go

Girls can kill
Even their scent can kill
Taking in a whirlwind
My frozen temptation
My delicate fears
Leave me be
With a tinge of despair
In fringes nowhere
Sparing the echoes of guilt
And laying them
In liminal air

There’s this sacred temple in my hometown
With its very own winds and a scent
Where the raindrops don’t hit the sands
With a tree that an angel would rent
And the birds would flock to the altar
Where the fruits were thrown for the sins
There’s a shrine for the ancient deities
And a priest who calls them his kin
We’d go for a walk barefooted
He’d put some earth on our heads
And in a dimmed blue chamber
Where women were forbidden to tread
There lived the statues of limestone
And bees in the woodwork on floor
And on its rooftop I was told
That my mother with a diamond would go
She built an ornate white stand
For the heaviest of incense to burn
It would pull on the brooding fig leaves
And tease them to the ground that they yearn
Once in a midnight of moon
It was lighted as an emperor’s hall
The floating bright yellow orbs
Were tethered to the short carven walls
And oh the scores of people
And the scores of drums and horns
We saw that tree dwelling angel
In a prayer at the reach of dawn
We saw the magic of that place
Through the scent of the curtain of smoke
Through the heaps of flowers at the gate
Through the chants and the songs of the folk
I’d still go to my home at end
And still would pass by to mourn
But I’ll come again to that tree
On a day when I die alone

Tedious our lives are
As we leave them behind us
Even the souls of kindest
Get lost and fail
For such is love
And we love its blindness
To the lark and the harpist
I’ll never call
You - the larcenist of naive souls
Never be a seraph in skies of dawn
To hold your hand or a door
With gold decor
Word by the utterly venomous word
From lips rubescent
And sharp as a crescent
At the fount of youth
I only weep
As I revel in loving a thief
And see to you I was merely present

I was on my way to greet
To greet for your love
But I never should have gone
To hold the broken door
Or try to kiss your brow
Maybe that’s all I need
Maybe I just want to feel
Your sighs on my shoulder
A hug when it’s colder
Now you are a stranger
And I’m the lost scout
Just let me drown in misery
My pride and shame please let them be
And purge myself with doubt
Maybe that’s all I need
Maybe I just want to feel
In my heart a little warmth
A shadow of a home
But when I see your lips tremble
And a bashful tear slips by
And then I’d see your secrets
Those telling eyes are traitors
You just cannot say goodbye
So
Goodbye…

Wonder how my mind is laden
An altar blessed with a dark gown
On a pale lithe and a beautiful maiden
With jet black hair or a raven shading
Donning an even darker crown
A concealed smile and a secret glistening
In depths of her eyes I’ll see
And the garlands of black roses listening
Together to prayers of our christening
Under an autumn tree
At crossroads of our final vow
To let you bind me to duty
Hark the cherubim flutter above
Envy ever to my burning love
On your haunting beauty

For an April wind I’ll yearn
And find a cozy cottage with bees
A lonely home in the silent woods
A light smoke amidst the trees
And long tables of hearty foods
With flavours wafting in the breeze
And boxes of unknown teas
On a chilly morn I’ll ride
My brotherly horse to the paradise
And there when I exclaim our song
Glance at me and heed my cries
Or let me hear you sing along
Bless me with your hazel eyes
Or your smile would suffice
Once more I’ll face the beast
To end the day with the sight
Of an arch along your rosy lips
And your warm soul alight
Under a bleak crimson eclipse
In the dead of a winter night
With a shield of ice I’ll fight
At the very end of forever
On ends of my servitude
To that deserving divine being
Lest my life ever elude
I vow to finally sing
Our endless song if could
And cease your solitude

The shame
To be betrayed by
One who I barely knew
For I ventured too deep
Too deep
To love someone
So far as you
You still speak to me
In curt replies
Who am I to wish
an untainted love
From you who rest
On another’s heart
Who am I to cry
or perish by lies
As I watch my crumbled vows
And sorrow scented sighs
In a kingdom divine
A quiet corner there
On a field of golden sand
Was blessed and cared
With an incensed shrine
Of an olden faith
Built for you
And your flaming hair
Let the world worry
On the sanity of mine
Lest they deceive me
At the end of times
I’ll be the candle
At the fiery altar
And forever tend
To that burning shrine

The wind falls as the blonde whispers
To the racing vermin it doesn’t cheer
As lightening floats in one’s eye
So does her sharp stare ever present
Blackened and charred as a heart austere
And the ashen remains’ lilting descent
Scares me word by the haunting word
As she sings of a blood red crescent

My lover, this warm night
Is for the stars only
For the blood stained lips
Of faint wine hint
And for the blessed and wretched
Soul of mine
A prayer for the looming chance of flight
The touch of your sultry eyes
Send my mind to its demise
Alas when the wayward hearts behave
It’s all but a guilt and the fleeting shame
Till then fill my head with poison
Beneath your stare under the ice
Now burn your dress it lies

In a fever once I dreamt
A white swan in a chapel
A sick dark wound was bleeding
From a tired heart barely beating
In my arms a bloody red apple
Left for rot and maggots to feed in.
How the heavenly choir carries
The light incense smoke
Dancing like some ghostly virgins
In their gossamer silks floating
To the cadence of her footstep dallies
To the rhythm I stalk
To meanings she sought in
The sordid feat today I merry
In pits of hell be surely wrought in
