Do you have a usual checklist for personal projects/comics. For like, prep work? Like character refs, test comics, color palette etc or does it more fall together as you go.
Love your stuff and always enjoy learning process stuff!!
-once again someone who is trying to make a thing ty for your time
Honestly I’m real bad for organizing those kinds of things. My priority is story/characters/writing. I find if I start getting bogged down in ref sheets or lots and lots of backstory writing I’ll never make the damn thing, but to each their own! Just put a lot of work into writing, get your themes and ideas and plot and anything else down onto a page and make sure you kind of know what you’re gonna do!!
All that being said, just make the comic!! Prep work is useless if you never draw a page, so start drawing!

Sorry if you answered this already but where are you going to post your webcomic??? I'm literally so excited,.,.
It’s going up early/weekly on my patreon, and then after every 4-8 weeks I’ll post them on here/bluesky/instagram! Im prioritizing feasibility and personal workload so I’m actually able to fully tell this story, but after the prologue is done (maybe 8 weeks of patreon posts) I’m going to try and either host the pages on a blog or their own website, I just gotta make the comic first!!

Your art feels like the moment when the air is cold and humid and you can taste it when you gasp for breath and you realize you're alive and no one can kill you anymore.
Wtf this is beautiful. Omg. Thank you??? Thank you so much, wow. Gonna keep this in mind next time I’m drawing transexual dogs on a napkin at a denny’s

Psst also if u ever wanna ask me questions I’m always down to answer them >:3
How do you decide on what to do for your test comics before starting a bigger project?
-someone trying to do this
Hello!! Honestly i just try to practice certain aspects of the story, the test comics I’ve been making for my soon-to-start webcomic have mainly focussed on character dynamics/conversation. Writing a good conversation between people is really hard, and it often can come across super stilted and unnatural, so that’s mainly what I’ve been practicing.
Another important reason for doing a few test comics has been to figure out:
A) how long does it take me to make one page?
B) can I fit enough on a page for it to work?
C) is this feasible for weekly releases?
So yeah that’s mainly why I’ve been doing some tests, but now I am done writing the prologue and nearing the point where I can start releasing pages!! Its super important to know how much it takes before going into a comic, they can be a shit-ton of work but ultimately all that matters is that you’re able to tell the story you want to tell.
I hope that (kinda) helped!! And thank u so much for the question!!

don't know if I've ever related to a comic more than your end of the world comic. it seriously creeped me out a bit, tbh, to see such bizarrely specific thoughts mirrored on the page. keep up the fantastic work!
Apologies for creeping you out lmao but i’m glad u liked the comic :3 the response to it has been overwhelming, thank u all for reading it and sharing it. I have been looking at the tags and I’m overjoyed by the response 🧡🧡🧡

I love your art, your inkwork is just delicious. Do you have tips for getting the lines and chunky spots right?
Also good luck at work!! Hope it gets better!!
As far as practicing is concerned, use brush pens!! Learning how to wrangle a non-fineliner pen really forces you to deal with lineweight. Get a Tombow Fudenosuki or a Pentel Pocket Brush and just start drawing, it’ll look downright awful at first but just give it time.

fave cartoon?
That’s a tough one, but it’s probably Over the Garden Wall. I love that little show so goddamn much, it brings me endless joy. If I think of any other options I’ll let you know lmao.
