I like this one quite a bit, because it's a very striking design, but the details really give away how hard the science here is (droplet radiators!!!)

Calphis, the first exoplanet visited and settled by the humans of Sol. Calphis is a dry, cool world with slightly less gravity than Earth. Nearly all of its water is frozen in the polar regions and the entire equatorial zone is belted by a dusty, sun-drenched expanse of sand and gravel.
The eight crews that comprised the Taushot Belle expedition dismantled much of their spacecraft and landed in the sub-polar regions. Now, a century later, the generations have factionalized into nation states that compete for unevenly distributed resources in the polar regions while also struggling to excavate mineral resources in the barren fringes.
Calphis has five moons, three of which are round and two which are irregular.

Don't have a spaceship, but I just wanted to say thank you for your contribution to science fiction on this website.
I do my best. Science Fiction has a lot going on, so I decided that if I can't find the niche that I like, I'll just become it.
