I already made a post literally at midnight but I wanna make an actual dedicated post.

I had freshly turned 10 when Until Dawn released. My first memory of the IP was when CoryxKenshin played the game.

I didn’t think the game was all that interesting until I really sat down and watched other people’s playthroughs. That’s when I fell in love with it.

I always felt bad for the Washington siblings, Hannah especially. (obviously, have you seen my name?) I saw myself in her and I still do.

Matter of fact, I see myself in all 10 of the characters. Whether it be Matt’s desire to be adequate or Josh’s fear of losing everything dear. I resonate deeply with each and every one of them.

After about two years since the game’s release, I played the game myself, managing to get everyone but Sam to survive (Those PS4 don’t moves are no joke). I’m still surprised I pulled that off. (I did go back and have everyone live.)

Playing the game really made me want to see if there were fanfics where the twins were saved in time and I was lucky because there were.

I wanted to do my own rendition of the twins surviving the prologue, which in all honesty, looking back, I would love to punch my 13 year old self because that shit straight up sucked but I give myself the benefit of the doubt. I was 13.

That’s all it was going to be. A prologue story, nothing more but as you all know, that never happened, I created my own world.

A world where sixteen young adults fight for their survival against mental, psychological and emotional threats alongside an overall looming threat.

A world where there’s something deeper to the character’s than what’s shown.

This is what is now known as:

“The Mountain of Butterflies.”

Thanks to Until Dawn, I’ve met people of many different backgrounds. Some relationships unfortunately didn’t last but that’s the unfortunate truth and that’s totally fine.

Where one flower dies, another blooms. I met some amazing people, who share my love for Until Dawn or the Supermassive Games catalogue as a whole.

One being @hardyoungpro. I’ve truly gotten to know him since Christmas of ‘24 and I’d consider him my best friend. I don’t consider very many friends but I’m certain I consider him one of the greatest.

He’s been there for every new idea, every rant, every change, every new addition and every chapter release.

He kept me going on with TMoB when I’ve wanted to give up and discontinue it and I couldn’t thank him enough for it.

Zakplayk, the bane of my existence and thd Kee’s partner in crime. He’s very cryptic about himself and that’s totally normal. In my experience, he can be a bit nitpicky frankly and can come off as rude but I’ve come to realize that that “rudeness” is incorrectly applied to his character. He’s extremely passionate about Until Dawn and it’s lore. He’s a great friend.

Fritz, Frizzy, Fritztopher, @fritzhardt. I haven’t really gotten to know thoroughly yet but from what I’ve personally experienced, they’re an amazing person. You’re a massive nerd and really weird. But weird is good.

Happy 10th anniversary to Until Dawn

It’s crazy to think that this game is already 10 years old. It feels like only yesterday when I first saw that Markiplier video.

It’s been a wild journey but this franchise honestly means so much to me. I’ve met some awesome and amazing people through it such as my besties @hanndigo, Zakplayk and @emimattyverse and of course it’s brought me many happy memories.

I want to share some of those memories now and go down the history of Hardyoung pro aka Cinema King

The first best memory is obviously meeting one of my best friends @hanndigo, mate I know you’re reading this right now and I want you to know that it’s been a pleasure getting to know you. I love your fan fictions and the cod zombie nights are honestly goated. Couldn’t ask for a better bro 😎 @emimattyverse you have also been amazing and you helped me through some very rough times, if it wasn’t for you I don’t think I would be in happier spirits today 🤗. Zak ik you aren’t on here but man it’s been a blast to make peak with you brother, you’re my chrashley partner 😤🙏 and you know when to give me amazing feedback. I appreciate you a ton man.

Now for the 2nd memory, in February I got my hands on the unreal locker. Now as most of you know this is my rise to fame pretty much. I started off with just making pictures and my first one I ever did was this

I’m very certain many of you have seen this picture and at the time it was really exciting to see people get hyped. I then started my virtual photography era and from there I ended up developing massively over the course of just a few months.

Shortly after my initial photography posts on Reddit I then moved onto posing. I had always loved the era of Arthit5 and I thought his posts were top tier. After he left I wanted to bring that magic back and make some of my own poses. Now at the start I was a complete noob producing memes like this 

Now there wasn’t anything inherently wrong with these memes but I always felt like I could do better and that’s what I did, later ending up with quality like this

I’ve gotten to be very well known now in the UD space and it’s all because of the unreal locker and my besties 🤗.

Now for the last core memory, Until Dawn actually inspired me to start writing fan fics admittedly I’m not very good but Its the only game where I actually felt compelled to write stories. If any of you want to check me out then you can here.

The wendigos in Until Dawn are some of the best monsters I've ever seen in horror media. Everything about them from their design and lore is top-tier.

Every wendigo tells a tragic tale of betrayal, greed and isolation. We get so many various stories and every single one ends in tragedy.

Honestly the Washington family story is so tragic and depressing and I really wish they all had better outcomes.

I also wish we got to see more of the twins and their dynamic with Josh, but oh well... If Supermassive/Ballistic Moon doesn't want to do it, then I will. 🙂‍↕️🙏

The interrogation scenes at the end of Until Dawn are genuinely amazing, yet also deeply tragic. They really highlight how some of your choices panned out, and you get to see the consequences for the characters.

For some, it's genuinely heartbreaking to see them especially Jess.
