Gardens of Ynn: Update

The layout is complete and the book is off having its pre-press proofs and last touch ups. We expect the PDF to be in your hands within the next couple of weeks at most.

The Online Generator

David Schirduan of Technical Grimoire is almost finished with his Gardens of Ynn online generator. Just porting it over to the SoulMuppet site and running a few test runs. This generator will be available to anyone and makes running this depth-crawl adventure even easier. Hey Harper, I have a question. Why is it called the Cult of the Dragon when it only represents the chromatic dragons? Thanks in advance!

Hiya thanks for the ask! The cult of the dragon originally came from the worship of undead dragons resulting from the line "Dead dragons shall rule the world entire" from Maglas's Chronicle of Years to Come (although this source is disputed by scholars). In it's early days the cult also showed a preference towards granting lichdom induced immortality to evil dragons, so it's very likely a handful of metallic dragons became dracoliches but it would have majorly been chromatic dragons such as Ebondeath.

If I were to put on my speculating hat I'd presume that before Tiamat began being venerated by the cult metallic dragons just weren't into the whole necromancy thing and then when Tiamat's intervention came into play she just sealed the deal due to her ancient feud with Bahamut and his metallic kin. I hope that helps with your query, occult history gets really messy sometimes!

Fun Slaad Facts: Volume 1

Did you guys know that the slaad language as well as contaning your stereotypical ribbits and such also contains low grumbles and chirps? I've actually had some surprisingly deep conversations with even your common red slaadi. They have very novel views on the world and multiverse as a whole.

I have actually done some research on the demi planes of Ravenloft, my travels through the mists didn't really spit me out in the home of Strahd though but I have visited Lamordia, Cyre 1313 and Har'Akir, that little stint did lead to me being stuck in said demiplanes for several months but we don't talk about that part or the sand that I occasionally shake off of me :)
