Preliminary Task 5 - Camera Workshop
The workshop was held at IIM studio, where we were told to finalize our shots and make a list of shots that we felt difficult, as I was the cinematographer it was very important for me to practice the shots that I felt difficult. It made it clear for our group that what were the shots that we wanted to select. After practicing some shots, we got to know what shots were possible for me to take at that location and the shots that helped us to depict the message through it.Â

Other than practicing and deciding what to do, we even learned about portable microphone such as portable microphone from a company named âHollylandâ. We learned that we could use it to record clear sound from long distance.

Pre-Production 3: Screenplay
We came up with the screenplay as it helped us make scene run smoothly. It will even help the characters knowing what their dialogs are and when do they have to speak. Overall screenplay gave us a clear idea on how the short film is going to play and in what order.

Pre-Production 2: Actors presentation
In pre-production we made an actorâs presentation as it would help the actors to know what is expected from them as they could get a clear idea. It even helped us find the characters that matched the description and mainly we got the visuals that what our character would look in the costumes and the actor and the mise-un-scene donât clash.

Research and Planning 4: Creating a sense of Branding
I have taken different products of same company âBella Vita Luxuryâ and done my own branding for it.Â
The link to my Instagram page:Â https://instagram.com/bella.vita.luxury?igshid=ZDdkNTZiNTM=
In the above link you would find the product and what branding have I done. Even as I am a cinematographer with the knowledge of camera and lighting, I was able to take pictures of my product, which added value to it and made it more appealing to buy. Branding means introducing a product with its own unique identity and as of Bella Vita Luxury itâs unique selling point is its affordable price range which gives it a competitive edge over others in the perfume market.

Presenting Presentations

In this task we had to present our Actors presentation and Producers presentation to our professor and classmates. In this we introduced our characters sketch as in what type of characters are we expecting, what would be their costumes, etc. This helped me develop the skill of working in team and distributing tasks among each other for smooth flow of presentation.

Past Experience
Just a year back I worked on an opening scene of the film as my task for AS Levels.Â
In this task I had no experience with sequence of how a media product is made and what is the role of a cinematographer, but after shooting this opening scene, it helped get familiar with the shots and develop my own perspective on how I want to showcase the film.
