Hello, I apologize for bothering you, and I hope you’re well. Unfortunately, I’m not. Please imagine yourself in my position: three months ago, we emerged from the rubble of our home. I lost my grandfather and aunt, and my father sustained serious injuries with shrapnel lodged in his chest; he needs surgery. My mother is suffering from severe back pain. As the eldest, I am now responsible for my family, and we have lost our source of income due to the war.

We have no money for food, drink, or treatment. We didn’t take anything from our home, and now we sleep in a tent, shivering from the cold, without clothes or blankets. I go to a distant place to access the internet to ask for help. Please don’t let me down; even $20 would help me immensely. I carry the weight of my mother, father, and siblings on my shoulders...

I’m very sorry this has happened to you, but I can see you’re a very strong person. Despite your pains you go on tumblr and advocate for your family and I deeply respect you for that. Unfortunately I’m not in a good place to donate money and all I can offer is my support. Please be strong for your family and yourself I hope things get better for you ❤️

Advice

Hi, this is my first time posting on tumblr and I doubt that anyone will see this. I really just needed to get my thoughts out to someone or something. Recently after the election I’ve not been sure on how to continue interacting with people. Knowing they had voted for the other candidate or the atmosphere just feels gloomy. It feels at times as though we really want to say something but are too afraid to say it out loud. I’m not sure if it just that we don’t want to say the wrong things or if it’s just too early to talk about the election. Does anyone have any advice on how maybe to put the whole election thing behind me and rekindle some of my relationships with people?
