Twin Nightwing Princesses Eminence and Renown, these royal twins were born beneath one of the three pyrrhian moons at full. Renown, born both blind and mute, has a power of futuresight never before seen in its strength. Eminence, as a mindreader, translates her prophecies. The two are considered physically inseparable, never one without the other. Eminence is very protective of her smaller sister, given her disabilities, and Renown doesn't feel safe with anyone else. The two are said to have a very prosperous future when Eminence comes of age to lead and has her sister by her side. I really really liked the idea of expanding upon the already known phenomenon of "someone who lacks one sense has their others heightened," so I wanted to push that, but with having super clear visions of the future

I tried to incorporate shape language, as well as subtle storytelling, with them.

Eminence has brighter colors, and she has a warmer palette. She's looking directly at the viewer, mouth open and speaking even as her portrait is being painted. She is the voice of the two of them. She has the three moons around her neck, only one full given she is only a mindreader, and to signify her and her sister's birth. Her horns curve upward like a crown; she is regal. You can tell she will one day be the queen and is willing to fight for it and to protect her sister and her people.

Renown has a cooler palette and blends into the background more., as her colors are more desaturated. She looks away from the viewer, her gaze hidden by the same royal veil her sister wears as a crown. There's a highlight in her eyes, but no pupil, given her lack of sight. She doesn't have any jewelry on her horns, simply just fabric. She wears matching earrings with her sister, but they lack the same luster. Her mouth is shut, curled into a frown as she doesn't get much use to it. Her horns curl downward, as if she is trying to physically disappear. The jewelry she wears around her neck isn't a necklace like her sisters, but a breastplate. Perhaps an indicator that she's had assassination attempts, or maybe a protective effort made by her sister or family to keep her safe , given they worry for her so. Or maybe it is to keep her safe and secure, and help her keep that sense of safety, given her fragile existence. She is also physically smaller than her sister, bent down more, whereas her sister stands upright.
