hey, everyone.

starting now, i’m going on a hiatus of sorts. i’m hoping it will only be for a few days, but it might be a few weeks. here’s why:

i currently have no internet access at home or on my phone, simply because my family can’t afford either at the moment. i’m brazilian, and you’ve probably heard of how fucked up things are around here as of late. my parents work for the government, and haven’t been properly paid in months.

i realize this might look like a sob story meant to touch your heart or some other sentimental bullshit, but i promise it’s not. i’m all right, kiddos. i’m simply sorting through my priorities– and honestly, putting food on the table and paying rent is a bit higher on my list than checking my notifications on facebook and roleplaying. i recently got myself a nice lil’ internship that pays me more than enough to get by, but considering i just started there and will get paid for a month’s work rather than weekly, it’s gonna be a little while– namely a few weeks– before i get my hands on any money. there is a chance that i’ll be able to come back sooner, though, considering that the state government is supposed to pay the rest of my parents’ salary next week. 

i’ll post updates as often as i can. if you’d rather drop our threads than wait for my replies, i’ll be a little disappointed, but i’ll understand. all you have to do is give me a heads up.

hopefully i’ll be back soon, with a lot less worry on my shoulders and a little more free time and disposition. i’m sorry for this long ass post, by the way. i’ll miss you guys!

stop assuming how you interpret a canon character is how an rper plays that character 2k16

being a roleplayer means you have the ability to play your favourite characters just how you see them, or sometimes even in an au sense. what’s fanon isn’t necessarily going to be how an rper plays their character! Don’t assume that just because someone’s muse is a canon character you know them, how they think, how they feel, how they act. read the bios of characters, canon or not, read the rules, talk to the muns! everyone has a different view of a character and they will play these characters different to how you see them, different to how other muns of the same muse see them. it is so frustrating when people make these assumptions. my friend wants to stop playing her character because of fanon assumptions that she doesn’t agree with keep getting pushed onto her in threads. please respect everyone’s individual portrayal of characters, if you want a fanon version of a particular character, find a mun that plays it that way.

Average American Civilian 101: Men in leather jackets were always the bad guys. ( Bonus points if they’re part of a minority. ) For someone who was mostly out to do good, Robbie had certainly hit the stereotypical henchmen jackpot. It didn’t help that his amazing superpower was to turn into a literal flaming skull. Skulls were textbook evil. 

Now that caused a lot of people to cross streets in order to avoid him. ( Being a latino kid in a bad neighborhood did too, but that wasn’t justified fear, it was just pure bigotry. )

Which should be more than enough reason to go about minding his own damn business, right? Outside of ‘work’, it usually was. With both hands shoved down his pockets as he walked towards the car, he had no intention of going out of his way to start any more trouble than he’d already been up to. Then, out of nowhere, came this guy, shoulders the width of the goddamnn Grand Canyon. Walking his way. Significantly fast. He afforded a quick inspection of the unknown figure– better safe than sorry, blah blah blah.

Leather jacket type of fellow. Could probably snap someone’s neck with his bare hands. Robbie’s scrawny ass could almost relate.

‘Look at his shirt’, Eli’s voice instructed. That was when he noticed the blood. Uh oh. Now he had to say something. Stepping in front of the passing stranger, he crossed both the noodles he had for arms in front of his chest. He wasn’t going to assume anything, not when the same had been unfairly done to him more times than he’d care to count. “ That blood doesn’t look like it’s yours. „ Cautious vehemence was all he mustered. Trying to sound intimidating would have been a wasted effort anyway, considering he weighed approximately 10 fucking pounds.
