I’m struggling to think what the betrayal is then. Maybe something to do with drugs?

The word “and” suggests it isn’t Dillon who betrays Lucas and is more likely ste. My theory is something to do with Rex and Lucas gets violent again which is why the next ep description says does ste tell the truth or protect his son which I think is to do with what Kieron said about Ste wanting to protect Lucas even tho what he’s doing is wrong.

Keiron and Oscar have an interview out with Metro today where it says in three weeks time Lucas does something that made Keirons jaw drop so I wonder if it lines up with these spoilers

I very much think the more Dillon goes through the more angry Lucas will get so I do think when Dillon’s tests come back positive Lucas is gonna blame ste and go mental

Lucas realising Dillon pulled away because he has intimacy issues and telling him it’s okay and giving him a hug was EVERYTHING and Lucas opening up about his self image issues was just so beautiful as well. Give them more emotional scenes Hollyoaks because they ateee.

And bonus Dillon was able to put James to sleep faster then anyone else 👀 I’m really excited to see Dillon and James more icl it’s time to accept this baby and have Dillon bond with him. The ste and dillon scene was lovely as well before Lucas took it out me context 🙈

'I'm not coming out,' grumbled the rainbow flag.

Dillon grinned. 'I hate to tell you, but it's a bit late for that.'

The flag grumbled again. Sighing, Dillon lifted up a corner and peeked his head underneath. He tucked his arms up on the edge of the couch cushion and peered at Lucas, who at least turned to look at him.

He didn't need to ask; he knew what was bothering him.

'This is a fresh start, remember?' he said gently. 'Everything we've been through, everything we've survived. It got us here. And, frankly, there's nowhere else I'd rather be than right next to you.'

'You're so cheesy,' Lucas muttered, but a small smile glimmered into sight.

'So, if you wanna forget about going out and you wanna stay right here, then that's what we'll do,' Dillon continued. 'We can stay in. We'd have the house to ourselves, so maybe we could...'

Lucas' smile grew until he was grinning, his eyebrows raising.

'...watch a movie,' Dillon finished. He grinned back cheekily as Lucas rolled his eyes. 'Seriously, though. We don't have to go.'

A moment of deliberation passed quietly, until Lucas finally sighed. He pushed the flag away and sat up. Dillon followed him to his feet questioningly, and Lucas immediately leaned in caught him off guard by kissing him.

He felt Lucas take his hand, and he instinctively laced their fingers and squeezed lightly. When Lucas pulled back, Dillon's eyes fluttered open to find him gazing at him in that way that makes his knees weak and stomach do a series of acrobatic moves at the level of trapeze artist.

'I wanna go,' Lucas said. 'A fresh start, right?'

'Us against the world,' Dillon said.

'Then I want our first proper Pride to be the best.'

Dillon tilted his head. 'The best? That's a pretty high bar to set, I don't know if I'm gonna be able to reach it.'

Lucas grinned, rolling his eyes. 'Memorable, then.'

'Oh, well, memorable's a different story. We can totally do memorable,' Dillon said, taking his other hand. He leaned back in, kissing him softly, taking a moment before breaking away to say, 'Come on. The first step in our amazing, first ever Pride is getting you out of that NPC outfit and into something more memorable.'

Lucas groaned and threw his head back theatrically as Dillon began to lead him by his hands toward his bedroom. 'Fine, but no glitter or sequins.'

'No promises.'

I think with Lucas to help him Dillon will bond with and parent James. Are we entering Hayray coparent era?

Yeah but there’s a difference between Lucas battling internalised homophobia and hating himself and just abusing Ste and becoming an unlikable person

The article claims it’s partly because of the tumour but also partly because of ste not releasing Rex was bad news. Lucas hits ste as he’s angry that Rex hurt Dillon and that he didn’t notice.

But you are right in the sense that the abuse isn’t all because of the tumour (from what I’ve gathered) by there are layers to the abuse similarly to when he had internalised homophobia. Both cases of abuse stem from Lucas’s self hatred. It really depends how they write this in order to stop Lucas becoming a unlikable person and that’s going to require good writing which I’m not too sure if Hollyoaks can pull that off
