The Coward

You didn't have another choice, honest! Have these people SEEN what the heroes are up against? It'd end you in an instant, whether that be a lovecraftian abomination with a hold on your soul, a rampaging monster that's destroying more than a hurricane and an earthquake could in one fell swoop, a shadow organization that has tabs on everyone you love and will end them in an instant, or just a particularly grumpy boss that might yell at you if you don't fall in with his excessively tyrannical methods, you can't go risking your neck for the poor saps that think they can stop it. No way, you're staying on the bad guy side, where it's SAFE.

Takumi shut his eyes, waiting for the inevitable pain of the infuser digging into his body and draining him of his very life. He wondered briefly how painful it would be. But at this point, he was already in so much pain. At lease being killed my someone he ONCE considered a friend might be better. Even if he... hated Eito.

His eyes shot open again when Eito mentioned the medical equipment. What...? It sounded a lot like he was going to save his life. It didn't make sense to him. Why would he do that? He told him not to speak but...

"The school...." Takumi chokes, each cough sending shockwaves of pain through his body. Yeah. He has broken ribs. And it hurts enough to make his head spin. He's also losing blood. But he... still didn't want to die.

He gasps for air. He didn't know if he could walk on his own. No. He KNEW he couldn't. He wanted more than anything to fight his way out of here but... He would need to rely on Eito. How... bitter was that pill to swallow?

".... is overrun..." He managed to force out his warning. From there, all he could do is try to breathe. Medical equipment was something sorely lacking here. They had a little bit, but they mostly relied on being revived. Something that he was certain the enemies were already in the process of shutting down.

"Aotsuki..." He reaches a trembling hand toward him. He knew Eito wouldn't want to be touched. But.. he wasn't thinking clearly at all. He just knew he didn't want to be alone and he didn't want to die.

*The temptation was there, Takumi barely able to function and his own infuser not even a few inches away and yet...and yet Eito did not go for it. Instead the male picked up his infuser once he was outside the cage and plunged it into his heart thus transforming into his class armour.

While he wasn't a doctor his time practically living in a hospital did give him some knowledge on handling someone with injuries and so decided to at least find somewhere to try and hide him until this was over.

The logical part of him was cursing his sentimental side, simply taking his cryptoglobin would have boosted his own chances of survival but the idea of doing that to someone who went out their way to save him left him with a bitter taste in his mouth. Even with so little energy Takumi somehow managed to be a source of conflict for him.*

"Try not to speak, we do have some medical equipment if I'm remembering right but I'm sure you're aware how hard it will be to get to them. So try not to get in my way and we'll make it."

we are finally doing a post for some verses. until i decide what my 'main route' is, i will not use verses tags until specified in the thread what it is. So far, I am leaning on the current route i am doing as the main one. As of right now, I am mostly focusing on AUs / stuff based on plots or conclusions.
